WORLDS COLLIDE: AYTO MEETS THE BACHELOR

And from a group of AYTO originals to a group of AYTO losers -- of course, we're talking about the Season 5 cast, and two of them meeting one of those Bachelors... if you know someone who also loves watching The Bachelor and The Bachelorette like my mom, then it's likely they know about Robby Hayes, who came on last summer's installment of The Bachelorette as one of those 24 guys who went to Thailand for a chance to land the woman of their dreams: former Bachelor contestant JoJo Fletcher.
   The former competitive swimmer described himself in his cast bio as a hopeless romantic like Ryan from season 1 because, as he added, "...there is nothing more satisfying than a genuine, big smile from the girl you would give the world to." Robby made it all the way to the end and to the final two last summer before JoJo chose Packer quarterback Aaron Rodgers' brother Jordan Rodgers to not only be the last one standing, but also shortly after get engaged and currently have wedding dates planned.
   The runner-up hasn't found love just yet, but he did get to hang out with Season 5's Kathryn and Tyler down in Miami over the weekend. And here's something that links Tyler with the Bachelor, The Challenge and a hip-hop heavyweight: last week, Robby signed with modeling firm Wilhelmina Models, which comes on the heels of Nicki Minaj adding a modeling deal to her broad resume alongside being in the headlines of late in having a public beef with rival rapper Remy Ma. Tyler does modeling work for Wilhelmina, as does CJ from Real World Cancun and two Challenges.

FOLLOW-UP: During Week 5 of AYTO Second Chances

IS THAT BACHELOR GUY DATING THAT AYTO BLONDE?

A week or so ago, we told you about the night at a club in Miami where two members of the Are You The One? Season 5 cast got to hang out with the man who finished runner-up on The Bachelorette last summer. Well for one of them, this has turned not only from just them hanging out in South Beach into something a little bit more.
   Rumors have been circulating that in the wake of the loss that rocked the MTV Trifecta (at least until Laurel lost this past week's Challenge elimination to Camila), that Kathryn from the most recent AYTO cast has been seeing Robby Hayes from my mom's favorite show. And last weekend, the two posted Instagram pictures from when they went to a zoo in Jacksonville, and sparked some additional talk when in an additional photo with Robby, Kathryn captioned, "They say Florida State has the best looking students.... I agree," referencing to them being fellow Seminoles.
   Kathryn & Robby can thank their parents for bringing them together as as her mom is friends with an acquaintance who knows his sister, who no doubt enjoyed watching them on romantic reality TV. But, Kathryn clarified to E! News that this relationship is, for right now, nothing more than a good friendship:

"We've been talking a little bit over Instagram and then he got my number and then we chatted a little. We went out. He invited me to his event in Fort Lauderdale so we hung out then. We had a great time. We were at the zoo, but we're not taking things too seriously right now because Bachelor in Paradise is an option [for him] so we're just sitting back and seeing what happens. Right now, he's a really great guy and I enjoy hanging out with him. We had a lot of fun."

As for Robby, he talked to US Weekly about this latest romance and echoed Kathryn's word that they're just friends and that he's still on the market, just as he is on the shortlist to be on this summer's Bachelor in Paradise:

"We enjoy getting to know each other and have fun hanging out. She's a super sweet girl, but there’s nothing too serious going on. We’re definitely not dating. We have a mutual knowledge of reality TV, so it’s fun to talk to her about that and share our experiences. We're Florida born and raised, so we have a lot in common."

But, there might be something out there for Robby & Kathryn some 3,000 miles away along I-10: recently he and best friend (and fellow Bachelor contestant) Chase McNary moved in with fellow Bachelor alum Jef Holm out in Venice Beach, and she may make the ride too. Robby adds, "She wants to move out to L.A. and that was something she wanted to do before I met her. She wants to get a house out here with Shannon and Carolina from her show, which I encouraged. I’d love to hang out with her here. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t."
   Whatever the case, once again this small world of reality TV again has produced another crossover romance - this time with a show I love and a show my mom loves. And with a lot in common, Kathryn may have found her true perfect match in Robby. We'll see how this one ends up.

DC ExtraTime: Jersey Shore Meets RW Skeletons

Now, we haven't talked much here on DCBLOG about the most-famous MTV show of recent times, the pop culture phenomenon known as Jersey Shore. Believe it or not, next month will be the 5th anniversary of the show that helped revitalize MTV and, as I always like to say, oh how can say time can fly by so fast when you're having fun. Why did I bring up this show? Well, two reasons...

   While the new season of Snooki & J-Woww is underway as the duo has just celebrated a new baby last night, Mike the Situation having tax elation charges tossed out after season 1 of The Sorrentinos on TV Guide Network, Sammi & Ronnie breaking up again earlier this year, Pauly D continuing to do his DJ thing in Vegas and Vinny celebrating a birthday last week with a new book, you might ask "What about Angelina and Deena?" As you know, Angelina was the original 8th roommate in the Shore House but didn't spend much time there in Jersey, but ultimately made her mark when the group descended upon Miami for season 2. And when she left permanently after that after causing lots of drama with the OG's, Snooki brought Ms. Blast in a Glass along for season 3 and brought a spirit of fun to the cast that wasn't the case for what Danny, the Shore Store owner calls "Jolie."

   While I'm not into VH1 that much, Angelina and Deena have kept themselves in the Viacom family by doing seasons of Couples Therapy, where we also saw the end of the 2nd stint of Heather & Dustin from Real World Vegas XXV. Last Tuesday before the season 5 finale, they, Deena's boyfriend Chris, Angelina's guy and Treach of Naughty by Nature fame got together with the show's host Dr. Jenn Berman to do a segment for Sirius XM Radio. Later that night, they headed to an after party and met up with Big Brother alums Gina Marie from season 15 and Caleb from last season, along with other reality personalities.

One who was part of the festivities was the brother of roommate Bruno from the upcoming season of Real World Skeletons, Briah. Four weeks from now will be the season premiere of the show's 30th season taking place in Chicago, and Briah is Bruno's estranged twin brother. The Providence, RI natives have not talked to each other in three years since a huge falling out and a trivial fight where Briah told Bruno that he wished he had been killed in a car accident that nearly cost him his life. As his "skeleton," Briah entering the house will force him and Bruno to meet the problems right there head on, which along with the stories of the other roommates, should make for compelling television.

   Just as was the case when we talked about Heather & Dustin's roommates Adam & Nany burying the hatchet when Mike Mike tied the knot, I'm not that all surprised that now Angelina and Deena are not only civil but also feeling like sisters. Obviously, Jersey Shore was a phenomenon that emerged from a rough beginning where it got a ton of hate before the show even started and then early on (similar to what we've seen with Buckwild and Slednecks). But them and the cast would ultimately click with everyone and they would become one of MTV's most beloved casts. And as the show marks its 5th anniversary next month, there's a lot to be proud of and lots to look back on. And we all might imagine if Angelina decided to return during that last season in Seaside Heights and see the dynamic she has and also of making peace with everyone.

By the way, a slice of Staten Island, and of course that thick accent, will also be part of the upcoming Real World as well as Nicole, a EMT and a single lesbian, will join Bruno, Jason, Madison, Sylvia, Tony and Violetta in the Windy City, following in the footsteps of Marie of RW St. Thomas and Angelina and Vinny onto the MTV airwaves, not to mention Gina from Big Brother. We'll preview RW Skeletons and provide plenty of perspective and reflection during the lead-up to its December 16th premiere right here on the 'Blog.

DC WRAP Double Shot: Challenge XXX EP15 and AYTO Season 6 EP6

With just hours left until Halloween arrives, welcome one more time this week to DCBLOG's WRAP of last week in the MTV Trifecta. Last Tuesday, a Dirty 30 Challenge season that's been dragging on all this second half of 2017 finally began to enter its penultimate stage with three players from the Redemption House joining the seven who had been waiting in the main house for their shot to earn their way into the final. And there, TJ Lavin informed the semifinalists that they would not be playing for the usual $350,000 that goes to the finalists for making it to the end, but $1 Million will be on the line. And in the other million dollar game in New Orleans, the Are You The One? kids were tasked with sending in their strongest power couple into what was the biggest Truth Booth yet, and it was only part of a down week in their hopes to cash in.

   Coming up, we'll recap last week's episodes for you on our Things to Know top moments, take a trip into the Strategy Room for the latest power rankings and matchup chart along with analysis. And along with the results of five Twitter polls we conducted this past week, we'll also tell you of who the newest mom and wife in the MTV community is. That's all ahead.

It's a fall Sunday Funday, and while you are relaxing and winding down, recovering after last night's Halloween parties where you live - or has just seen an exciting World Series with Game 5 having just ended, welcome back to DCBLOG and our trip Inside the MTV Trifecta on this last weekend of October. On Friday, we brought you the final ten competitors getting into game face mode on The Challenge XXX, and it is likewise, in a way, for the kids of Are You The One? Season 6 in New Orleans.
   Last week was episode 5 and the season's halfway point, but technically was still in week 4 and the group was faced with having to step up their game ahead of the fourth Truth Booth and Matchup. A lingerie party gives the house a chance to finally let their hair down, but then they erupt into chaos with the latest in the saga of Kareem and Alivia, and him turning attention to one-time hottest college girl Zoe and leaving his crush in tears. And with their game in a little bit of disarray, the girls decided to go with strategy, and was successful in a way: returning back to where they started at 3 lights.
   With their game not being where it should be, this week the focus turns to the house's strongest power couple, Clinton & Uche - who have been paired up at each Matchup since the beginning and lots of social love being thrust upon them. The house has the chance to finally get the game going by sending them in, all the while have to also to deal with Jada possibly wanting her chance to get with him too. And the on-again/off-again couples make waves yet again, as do the always entertaining and revealing task of families coming by to share some embarrassing info about the girls.

All the action, reaction and interaction is ahead as they react to seeing if Clinton & Uche are that one beam, and much more. After the diary, we'll look at an AYTO alum dealing with tragedy hitting close to home.

We've arrived at the last weekend of October, and the countdown is in full gear to the always spooky and entertaining night of Halloween. And as you all try to pick those right costumes and stock up on the candy you'll be passing out to the youngsters in 5 days from tonight, DCBLOG welcomes you again to our look Inside The MTV Trifecta. And this week is full of big time drama and game-changing twists, as we begin with Week 15 of The Challenge XXX, as a season that started all the way back in July is now approaches its conclusion in autumn.
   Last week in Colombia, the serious business began with the scariest of all of the regular challenges took place dozens of stories above ground, as the twelve players left in the main house had to face their fear of heights with power at stake. In the end, Hunter and Jenna came away victorious and sent Jordan and Veronica into the Redemption House, where he had to encounter Cara Maria and tension boiled between the two champions -- bags in the water included. Then, another great elimination battle took place between Johnny and Derrick, which saw the speedy bulldog who returned from a 7-year absence come away with beating the six-time champ.
   Bananas is only part of a stacked Redemption House that has 13 titles among him, CT, Veronica, Jordan and Cara Maria among the ten who occupy those quarters... and this week they'll have one last chance at regaining their spot in the game, and will eventually see heavy hitters hit the road. Then, those who survive join the rest of the house for the season's last regular mission -- which also doubles as the season's second purge: multiple players will eventually be eliminated before the final begins. And something we've known since I was in Disneyland back in June is finally revealed, as TJ Lavin tells the players about the amount they are playing for.

Coming up, all the action, reaction and interaction of this third to last week of this Challenge season along with the usual buzz before and after. After the diary, ExtraTime will have the first of three life-changing stories for three members of the MTV community, and first - what is it like to head to a country that had just had a hurricane prowl through its shores? We'll share you one Real World & Challenge alum's recent eye-opening trip to the Caribbean following Hurricane Irma.

DC ExtraTime: Javi's Going for Love

In this brief respite from our usual coverage of what we call the MTV Trifecta, for those who follow the entire MTV reality TV spectrum this past weekend the cast of Teen Mom 2 and their related contemporaries got together to film their season's reunion. And news has just emerged of the former husband of TM2's Kailyn Lowry, Javi Marroquin, now starting to date the newbie of the bunch, Briana DeJesus from Teen Mom 3 who joined Kailyn, Chelsea, Leah and Jenelle this season.

   With news of their relationship now starting to emerge, we thought about taking a look back to two stories that featured him from our coverage of the last Trifecta cycle earlier this year, when he first announced his intent to get cast on AYTO Season 6 on the Season 5 After Show with new host Terrence J, then going on a one-night stand with Madison from Real World Skeletons and ex of current Challenge competitor Tony.  Enjoy this bonus edition of ExtraTime.

DC Strategy Room: The Challenge XXX - Crunch Time in Colombia

For one more time this week, welcome back to our look Inside the MTV Trifecta and the early part of the business end of The Challenge XXX - Dirty 30... it's hard to think we've finally arrived here.
   We started this season in the very middle of the summer in mid-July, and so much has gone down in Colombia... just about everything you can imagine has taken place during this landmark season for the MTV show you and I love. We began this journey with a collection of names familiar and fresh: from one whose first time on MTV was nearly two decades ago to a guy who we saw get in a short lived romance with an alum of his fellow show, and in between a stacked cast of champions, veterans and newcomers. And we have seen plenty of drama, awesome competition and so much more... and we haven't seen host TJ Lavin spill the news to the competitors of the $1 million up for grabs.
   It's with all of this in mind that, just before the final Redemption Challenge takes place, this is the perfect time for us to venture into a place we go to each week during Are You The One?, but enter only when the game gets serious on The Challenge: The Strategy Room. Here, we get to don our analyst's hat to analyze where the game situation stands and break things down just like every other site and webcast do every week... something we don't do much of because of our supplementary vision to offer our signature storytelling and social reaction.

We're into another week, and as you try to get through your Monday welcome back to our DCBLOG view of the MTV Trifecta before new episodes air tomorrow night. Last week, we had a full Challenge episode, shall we say, with mission and elimination included that saw big time drama take place in between and a meeting of two giants. And on AYTO, there was also some heated drama there as well, along with a lingerie party and a mixup of sorts as the house tried to get everyone else to switch up.
   Coming up, our recap of last week with the key moments, a look at another comeback season in the one they call the bulldog making what could be his best chance at the crown, and interesting tidbits as the season by the season by the Bayou reaches halfway. On this Saturday night, welcome back again to DCBLOG's view Inside the MTV Trifecta as we roll along here on this weekend. Last night, we brought you tensions simmering in Colombia as The Challenge XXX draws near its final, and now the game is getting serious down in New Orleans, as we are at the halfway point of Season 6 of Are You The One? by the Bayou.
   Last week, the frustration the house has had in the Truth Booth was compounded even more when super player Malcolm was sent into the lasers with Nurys, and returned to the house a No Match. For the couples who felt they're not giving others a chance, the same thing went for them as did the other singles trying to make connections. And a night of sumo wrestling and dares to lick girls sent Malcolm and Diandra to heartbreak city.
   Our group of singles are in desperate need of good news in their quest for the $1 million, and this week they are faced with having to step up as they face their fourth meeting with the lasers. As they finally get a chance to let loose in having a lingerie party, the house erupts into chaos with one's attraction to another girl pushes the one he's been seeing since the beginning to tears. And the group teeters on the edge when the girls decide to risk a half million and opt for something that cost last season's cast at their latest Matchup.

You'll see all the action, reaction and interaction to Week 5 of this season ahead, along with two birthdays for Team Ohana in the Pop-Off Queen and another whose biggest moment was one year ago this weekend. We have made it to the weekend, and as you settle down to some relaxation this Friday night and the next two days, welcome along to the weekend tradition of DCBLOG bringing you Inside the MTV Trifecta. And this week sees plenty of drama in the MTV world, starting here with Week 14 of The Challenge XXX as a long season finally begins to make its final descent towards the starting line of the final in Colombia.
   Britni, Jordan, Kailah, Tony & Veronica won the most recent challenge, and last week they took advantage of a big twist in the game and made a power move when they sent CT and Cara Maria into the Redemption House. Then, they voted Jemmye into the Presidio, and after the drama of a tied voting round and the always frowned upon burn vote, Queen V then proved her political worth and dirtiness of this game in voting in Leroy. And in the Double Cross, Jenna pulled off her own dirty move and voted in Camila instead of Tori, and the Camilanator would win that battle along with this season's breakout star of Hunter in the always intense setting of a straight head-on elimination.
   With a grand total of just 12 players left in the main draw, this week sees the beginning of crunch time for those players still in the running with the jackpot now starting to come into view -- of course, everyone (except TJ and us) still have no idea that they are playing for $1 million. That dirty dozen will battle in the scariest challenge yet - and you guessed it: it's a heights challenge in one of the tallest buildings in town with power in the game at stake and a chance to flip the script. And in the Redemption House, a rivalry between two stubborn players decides to boil over there, where by nights end an already stacked group will get even more packed in that cramped part of town.

Coming up, all the action, reaction and interaction from this week - a fairly light diary that follows the jump due to, of course, many of this season's cast being overseas filming Season 31. And after the diary, ExtraTime will take a trip back to a place far away from civilization we visited last year as a Real World and Challenge veteran takes a trip to this year's installment of Burning Man.

DC ExtraTime: The Life of DNA

As the competitors had some R&R after Cory & Hunter's Presidio, we had a sight we haven't had up until this past week: us seeing Dario in the pool. Outside of competition, clubs and confessionals, he hasn't been on camera, and in those precious few seconds of screen time he got to reveal what those of you out there know by now: he and Challenge champion Ashley K. are dating after they fell in love after meeting each other on Invasion. Outside of what happened with him and Nicole earlier on, he's been taking the safe route in being mellow and taking no chance at causing drama and focus just on the game, unlike what we have seen from him early on.
   In case you missed it, last week we showed you the buzz surrounding the much hyped Money Fight between now 50-0 Floyd Mayweather and the UFC's Conor McGregor, which continued in at the crossroads of boxing and Team MTV after Kailah went to the Money Man's 40th birthday party and MTV original Syrus meeting Mike Tyson. In this latest case, Ashley was chosen by the fight's principal sponsor, Corona Beer, and Mayweather Promotions as one of the ring girls who stood inside the ropes in the pre-fight introductions and then held the round cards around the square during the undercard bouts before the main event on VMA Eve. And this came after the the two settled in Dario's Las Vegas digs, as they now reach almost a full year since they first met in Thailand.
   To coincide with his birthday this past Labor Day Weekend, Dario and Ashley -- or better yet, DNA -- went and bought a GoPro camera, which in turn enabled the couple to launch their own YouTube channel. There, they'll be taking fans into their world and all around the pleasure capital as they enjoy this time together. Below are the pair's first three vlogs which they posted over the course of this week, as they went hiking in the Vegas valley in its infamous summer heat, going shopping around town, and heading on a night out along Fremont Street in downtown including, of course, going gambling. There's even a familiar special guest who happened to run into the pair too.

As all of you get through your Monday blues, we at DCBLOG have the perfect cure in offering you our WRAP of last week in the MTV Trifecta before new episodes begin tomorrow night. Last week in Colombia, if the game on The Challenge XXX hadn't gotten serious by then it indeed has with big moves being made that may tell us who the ones to watch are as we now get closer to the final, at last. Meanwhile up in New Orleans on Are You The One? Season 6, it's something similar but amidst the bar hops the dates are taking on Bourbon, who knew that a night of sumo could see one couple head to Heartbreak City?

Nothing like a Saturday, isn't it? Welcome again to DCBLOG and after last night offering dirty moves and a breakout star in the making in Colombia, our look Inside the MTV Trifecta now proceeds into covering Week 4 of Are You The One? Season 6.
   Last week down in the Big Easy, the early good start this season's cast had was set back somewhat when Anthony & Geles were sent into the Truth Booth with high hopes but returned with those being dashed by a "No Match" message. Then, a bad second matchup ceremony saw the group notch only one light at the patio, but felt lucky that they didn't black out and lose $500 grand. We also saw Keyana break up and then make up with Michael, the group going limbo dancing to try and balance an egg from dropping, and the daters going on a trip to meet gators.
   At week's end, the house voted in super player Malcolm and Nurys into the Truth Booth, and after last week showcasing his music on here this week they find out their verdict. Also, frustrations continues to mount for couples who feel they're getting in too deep and singles who are likewise having trouble trying to make connections. And what happens when a game of harmless fun turns into something a little more? One couple finds some heartbreak when something MTV is infamously known for takes place in the AYTO house.

We have arrived at the weekend, and not just any TGIF but Friday the 13th... and as you all try to be superstitious on this unlucky day (including yours truly whose birthday falls exactly one month from now on the 13th), DCBLOG welcomes you in to this week's look Inside the MTV Trifecta, where this theme of 13's sees us lead off with Episode 13 of The Challenge XXX: Dirty 30 from Colombia.
   Last week, there were two Winners of the Night: knowing of the ramifications of what happened a while back, Tony's most eventful Challenge season continued as he took down Dario in the Fortress. The other was one of the returning superstars to this year's Challenge party, as Veronica emerged from her slumber by overcoming being thrown in at nominations to beat close friend Aneesa in the week's elimination in grand style. Then, both of them were on the winning side of the ensuing challenge as Queen V turned back the clock leading her side to the win.
   This week, they, Kailah, Jordan and Britni hold all the power of the game in voting in not only one guy and one girl into the Presidio, but also sending one of each into the Redemption House for which TJ dropped that bombshell after last week's elimination. When one of those three girls feels that they are being silenced, she decides to make a master-class political move that again alters the game's landscape. And that's not all: when the Double Cross takes place... once again dirty play comes a calling, just before one classic elimination setup: going straight head-on.

All the action, reaction and interaction of an episode fittingly titled "Feel The Burn" is ahead here, along with a competitor's obsession with food and another joining the team of one of the stars on next month's Champs vs. Stars. As you enjoy the Monday of your three-day holiday weekend or just going about the start of this week if you're not off today, welcome back once again to Inside the MTV Trifecta on DCBLOG. In the last four days, we've brought you the Pulse of the latest episodes of The Challenge XXX and Are You The One? Six, plus a WRAP of those two yesterday and an ExtraTime doubleheader of music videos featuring members of both of our shows' casts. Now, to perhaps the juiciest post of this weekend's blog wave... we have saved this for last to conclude our look at Week 12 of this cycle.

   As we glide along with a Challenge season that started in the middle of the heat of the summer and has been going along at a slow but still exciting pace along with the first few weeks of AYTO Season 6 as we're now in the month of October, there is already something brewing around what those who know about baseball jargon call the "hotstove" -- the talk that takes place during the winter offseason of fans and media speculating about contract negotiations, re-signings, trades, free agency and the flood of player movement that takes place between the World Series and spring training.
   As Season 30 of the fifth major pro sport approaching its business end of the season starting tomorrow night, filming is already underway for Season 31 overseas… hence our diary for this week was truncated a bit by the absence on social media of some of this season's current competitors. But, from the very beginning of that, there's already been buzz about the potential cast of this season that will air in the new year. Need not worry, you can expect those favorite veterans you're accustomed to seeing give it a go once again.

   But, if you thought the crossover of the third leg of the love experiment of this Trifecta into the fifth major pro sport was something, imagine what it would be like if The Challenge got to welcome more new people and shows into its roll call... one of them doesn't have anything to do with the MTV ecosystem. DC WRAP Double Shot: Challenge XXX Week 12 & AYTO Season 6 Week 3

Today is the birthday of one of the MTV Trifecta's most famous alumni: Mike "The Miz," who got his start on Real World Back to New York in 2001, and went on to both several Challenges and to a successful WWE career. And on this Sunday Funday, welcome back to our look Inside the MTV Trifecta as we WRAP up last week on The Challenge XXX and Are You The One? Six.
   In Colombia, we saw two more big twists big revealed in yet another Redemption House for those who lose the coming eliminations as well as the winners of the succeeding challenge getting to send players there directly along with those into elimination. And in New Orleans, we saw Michael become the heartbreaker in the house, while the house's strongest couples were awoken by their connections which got them nowhere but almost led them to a familiar scenario that two previous casts have had after their second Matchup.
   Since both episodes ended without resolution, again we'll be tabling our usual Things to Know episode recap to next week or whenever they do end with resolution. But coming up, we'll be focusing our attention on the comeback week this week of longtime Challenge veteran Veronica, look at where the game stands in NOLA, and then look at when three AYTO seasons all converge. As you enjoy your Saturday night - whether you're enjoying college football, October baseball or getting set for the club, welcome back to DCBLOG's view Inside the MTV Trifecta as, after seeing the game change yet again on The Challenge XXX as they enter the middle rounds, it's still early on for the sexy singles of Season 6 of Are You The One? - and this week, it's Episode 3.
   Last week in New Orleans, the cast went through the ringer of their (and new emcee Terrence J.'s) first Matchup Ceremony and got off to a good start of notching three beams. The player ways of Malcolm finds himself in trouble when he find himself stuck in the middle of a love triangle between him, Diandra and Nurys. For the first couple to head into the Boom Boom Room, Keith and Alexis went looking for other people in the effort to break each other's hearts.
   At the end of last week's episode, Anthony & Geles were voted into the Truth Booth and this week, they and everyone else will find out if they supplant Cameron & Mikala as the show's quickest perfect match. The house's strongest couples also have to contend with looming trouble ahead as people begin to find out that their initial first impressions aren't good. And one roommate decides to shake it up by trying to break up multiple relationships.

The action, reaction and interaction of Week 3 of this season is ahead, which also includes the tale of one AYTO alum's bout with anxiety before entering her season, as well as one current castmate's birthday. And after the Pulse, Music Week continues as ExtraTime will share with you another music video from Team MTV, which happens to be Mr. Player himself.

On this late Friday night, and as many of you start off this 3-day holiday weekend, welcome on in to DCBLOG's look Inside the MTV Trifecta... where coming up in the next few days, strong couples are taken to task in New Orleans, and a musical takeover in honor of an MTV legend's comeback. But first, we begin this week's ride with our look at Week 12 of The Challenge XXX: Dirty 30 and with half of the field left in Colombia.
   Last week, the challengers' inner Ninja Warrior was tested as they tackled an obstacle course above water and saw many a fall into the waters. But most of the attention were on whoever was left of the Young Bucks alliance: Hunter being dealt an emotional blow when his girlfriend back home broke up with him many miles away, a tense argument with him and Kailah in the club, and his ally Nelson deciding to go all in on Derrick and a swing at him costing his spot in the game.
   And while Hunter deals with this latest blow, this week the house still must proceed with the game and picking their elimination opponents for the largest double cross yet. The end result sees a familiar scenario that we've seen this season in two close friends being forced to go up against one another in a twisted elimination, which then sees yet another twist to the players. And a surprise in the game gives the winners of this week's mission -- a chance to smash and then put brains to the test - a chance to make the biggest power move yet.

Coming up, all the action, reaction and interaction to this week's episode and the buzz of Challenge nation, including that rumor swirling around the hotstove, and reaction to the unfortunate events that took place last weekend in Las Vegas. DC WRAP Double Shot: AYTO Season 6 Week 2 & Challenge XXX Week 11

As your weekend winds to a close and this month of October is now starting, we at DCBLOG have this WRAP of the week in the MTV Trifecta. This past week, we saw Challengers wipe out into the waters below, one player get dealt an emotional blow in breaking up with his girlfriend, and another -- his close friend in the house -- get sent home from Colombia for getting himself in a fight with one of the top veterans. And on AYTO, we had our first Matchup Ceremony, a player find himself in a love triangle and romances abounding as their time in NOLA is starting up.
   As is our custom and policy, if there are TBC's in any episodes we cover, the reviews for that week's episodes are jettisoned over to the following week's WRAP... thus, we'll have recaps of this week's episodes for you next week as part of an extended Things to Know. But we won't ignore this week here, and coming up well head into the Strategy Room to look at where AYTO stands after its first Matchup along with poll results, plus ExtraTime has special appearances by some of music's best as well as a Road Rules reunion.

It's the first day of October, and welcome back to DCBLOG's Inside the MTV Trifecta and the second of this week's Pulse doubleheader. Yesterday, we brought you Week 11 of The Challenge XXX: Dirty 30 as Nelson decided to deal with the wrong person and his drunken behavior got him sent home. Now, we turn to the show where he got his start: Are You The One?, and Week 2 of Season 6 down in New Orleans.
   Last week saw the start of a new season of finding love and winning money with 22 of your new besties and frenemies. There, we saw plenty of drama and hookups: Jersey guy Keith and West Virginian Alexis getting it on inside the Boom Boom Room, followed by the house's second hookup in Southerner Michael and Keyana, and Malcolm and Diandra kissing inside the shower as he finds himself as the first in the house to become a player in having to also contend with Audrey and Nurys.
   After not finding love at first sight in the Truth Booth, this week the cast gets their first chance to face the lights as they will join Terrence J. for the season's first Matchup. The Malcolm sweepstakes continues as the girls battle for his attention, and his player ways cause some trouble when he find himself in that always dreaded love triangle. Another hookup couple then try to break each other's hearts by dating other people, and a Latino & a Texan emerge as the house's newest couple.

All the action, reaction and interaction from Week 2 is ahead, which includes AYTO alumni voicing their opinions of the feud between them and the newbies. After the Pulse, two ExtraTime Follow-Ups: first, the girl blamed for what happened last season gets the chance to respond to those who have been getting on her after the move that cost her cast the cash, and the man who made a splash earlier this year on MTV returns to reality competition as well as another reality vet.

Lights up, a man in a threesome, hookups on Bourbon, and catching up with two members of Team MTV... It's all coming up on the 'Pulse of Are You The One?.
