DC SocialPulse: The Challenge Final Reckoning - A First Shot At Redemption

With not much to elaborate on, it's been an eventful first Saturday of August to say the least. And as you all have the opportunity to chill on this summer's night - or just taking a break from your night out or house party, come on in to our DCBLOG view of The Challenge: Final Reckoning, and to the Pulse of Episode 4 as a packed first month in South Africa draws to a close in explosive fashion.
   During an extended 3-part premiere of sorts, last week saw the revealing of how the process of elimination will go down in South Africa. The season's first regular challenge winners, Brad & Kyle, had nothing to worry about as they relaxed and had a hand in voting who goes into elimination as in past seasons, only they get a power vote of two as it takes place in secret. Then, it has a hand in giving whoever receives the most votes goes in, but also gives the team voted in a chance to get revenge on one of the teams who them in.
   After a tough elimination battle, Kam upped her perfect mark on the regular series to 4-0 and sent Paulie & Natalie to the Redemption House, and this week they and the rest of the occupants of the villa are the night's focus. They, Britni & Chuck, Jenna & Jemmy and Jozea & Da'Vonne will have an opportunity to re-enter the game... but they once arrive they also get a rude awakening from TJ when he unleashes the game's latest twist. And for one of these eight, he brings the persona that made him a villain the first time he was on reality TV to the fifth major pro sport.

Gosh, what an episode, and what a first month of Final Reckoning.

Well, we would normally say here at the end of the Pulse to stay tuned for the WRAP and our usual recap with the week's top moments, analysis and opinion. But that won't be the case for a little while.
   The next two weeks will be a busy time for me in doing a Reality Debrief that's been 14 months in the making that will be finally be posted here starting early next week. Plus, there's our preseason preview of Are You The One? Season 7 and the usual weekly episode posts covering that, this Challenge and Floribama Shore. And on top of that, there's preparing to travel to Las Vegas roughly 48 hours after AYTO debuts in two weeks from now - and it means having to buy things online and in the store to make sure to have the best trip possible.
   With all of those in mind - and to make things easier on yours truly, DCBLOG will not have a WRAP post for this, the next and the following week. But once I return from Sin City, we'll be sure to not catch up on what's transpired this week and the next two weeks but also AYTO starting up as well... along with a preview of the next MTV series I will be live tweeting on and having a preview post on it, which will be revealed during DC Vegas weekend starting Friday, August 17.
   But ahead this weekend, two extra posts: for the man who got screwed over before he could get a chance to even compete, he has a most cool profession... we'll join Chuck in his natural habitat in the water. And we'll take a Look ahead to the show that might be called the next generation of Jackass, and soon it takes up the spot of following The Challenge later this month. Back here shortly...
