Last week marked the halfway mark of The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2, and again relics were the star of the show in both that week's challenge and elimination. There, it was a double elimination week of one guy and one girl getting the boot, and that left everyone scrambling to identify who their weakest links were - and it also caused the first tiff with close friends Ninja and Dee, though that was sewed up quickly. And while last season's finalists Theo and Georgia won their eliminations as expected, it was Esther who won everyone's hearts and respect in living to her word of proving herself.
This week, the second half of this season gets underway with a dominant Team USA and a Team UK just continuing to watch this rout go, but as of yet the allure of being the first trench-coat to go to the other side hasn't yet got to the Brits. A slippery puzzle will be awaiting the players at this week's competition, which will see not only people running each other but also plenty of falls along the way. But as the number of players get reduced, the tension amongst players will no doubt only intensify as we head on this ride towards the final around yuletide time.

As we begin this week's blog coverage here, this comes during a week where those who have chosen to take part in season 35 of The Challenge are headed off on an early winter vacation, and the lead-up to this week's episode has posts pertaining to that. We'll have the chance to take a small look ahead at the field chosen for the next season of the big show between now and the final soon enough.

So, competition wise it's Groundhog Day again: Americans win the challenge, the British face off in elimination, and it's Theo who has his second elimination win and Idris goes out with a respectable showing with only Jenny as the lone remaining rookie of this series which, of course, is comprised entirely of UK players. But what had everyone talking this week was the continuation of discontent in the U.S. room with Paulie going after Theo and, obviously, Turbo and Jordan and if you saw all the drama involving our defending champion and the 2-time titlist on Twitter earlier on this fall, then what you saw there at the end exemplifies that deep animosity... same goes for everyone's opinions of the BB alum especially with what has gone on as of late with him up in frontier country.
Well, this week's short blog work is not done yet: there's just one other post covering the big story of this fall in MTV land: the man who was minted with a "Mr. MTV Slut" tattoo is at it again... while you'll be chillin' or going mall-hopping tomorrow, we'll have more on Cory once again becoming a dad, this time to his Ex On The Beach love, Taylor, as the reunion for Season 3 goes down and the countdown begins to a new season of the show taking place on the slopes.
That post, itself, will take place before day 2 of an event that's about to begin soon, and here on this Friday, October 25th, all that's left to say here are three words and a interlude: here we go. The world's biggest adult playground is ready, and after so much anticipation that I've been boiling up all summer & autumn, this blogger is about to get out of his chair and experience something that never gets old... and this year, it's the tenth time I've had the chance to do what I'm about to do.
#DCVegas X Weekend is at hand, as the opening act will begin in just a few hours from now... starting tonight on all of the listed social media platforms below, where you'll get to join me on my latest adventure in the desert.
