MTV Reality WRAP: Siesta Key - The Season 3 Finale & Reunion

It was all the way back in relatively simple times last December that the countdown began to the drama starting up once again down in a small beachside community just outside of Sarasota, Florida. And now, here as we turn the page to September and on this spiritual end of summertime in Labor Day Weekend (and also on the birthday weekend of the one dressed up in that red dress, no less) that we now wrap up this twisted, crazy, dramatic and eventful journey that is Season 3 of MTV's Siesta Key.

In the course of what's gone on here the last nine months, there's been a showmance with the queen of this place and a man from Bachelor Nation, while her ex & his new girlfriend have gone to uncharted territory: becoming parents. We've also had the bombshell that began this season in a man who's older than any of the cast members who he worked with when this journey began now dating one of them. There's also been plenty of drama on an interpersonal & romantic level with everyone, while there's been parties just about every week here to remind us of fond times back then, and which has kept everyone from die-hard's to casuals and big names entertained.

And when we last left Siesta Key, the group came together once again to celebrate Garrett's new fitness supplement, but again they just couldn't get the holy grail of a drama-free night when Amanda's ex JJ came walking in with his new girl in tow, the guest of honor & Kelsey being at odds again, and a friend of Juliette's crush Sam getting into it with Jared and left Mike in the pool after spreading nasty rumors. And Kelsey & Jules also had it out a little bit over the ladder beating her to a fashion executive about a new swimwear line while they were in Miami for New Year's.

Now comes one last wave of the endless summer here in paradise, as everyone in this power clique begins to plot their future, and then they get to do what those on The Challenge Total Madness got to do: get together virtually in the comfort of their own homes to dissect this whole season.  THINGS TO KNOW 
THE SEASON 3 FINALE

πŸŒ† MADDY & ISH'S MOVE: Back in Episode 9 of this season in March (the one where the group went up to Georgia for the 4th of July and before things got out of control), Ish returned from a production assignment to meet up with Madisson and her family (including her sister Paige from Season 1-B) about possibly moving out to L.A. with him - that didn't work out. When everyone was in Miami for New Year's, her and the former producer were scouting new houses in case she wanted to stay back in Florida, but he wasn't having it with even the simplest of features in those houses.
   Months have passed since Ish first posed that question to Maddy earlier this season, and in between they have broken up, went to New York, got back together again, him leaving again for work, coming back for the holidays, and that infamous house tour. But being that she has matured and has had time to think about it if it was gonna be asked again, Maddy and Ish head to a local golf course to once again ask daddy Hausberg about her leaving town again. Below, she breaks the news to him before to everyone else at what turns out to be a farewell birthday party - and as it turns out, there's more to this... more on that shortly.



☕ THE NEW GOSSIP KING: Going into both halves of this season, there were gonna be moments where you were just gonna have that coffee cup handy despite this show airing at night. No different for this season finale, only that the person who is spilling the tea and spreading some good old gossip is someone other than Chloe. The week previous to this, the friend of Juliette's new man Sam, Mike, had it out with Jared over rumors of the vet cheating on his now ex-girlfriend on New Year's Eve.
   When Jules and Chloe are having some sips of the rose at a local Sarasota coffee bar, Mike meets up with them to share with juicy gossip that might as well make him a regular her if we all get back together for a fourth time at this. Once he pulls up - and after some side talk on Maddy, Mike lets them know that while he was with Sam and Kelsey, she asks the crush what Jules' intentions are with him, and Sam answers that, "(Juliette) might be in it for the wrong reasons."



πŸ’” FRACTURED FRIENDSHIP? - The fact that Jules and Kelsey are now BFF's again came about because of Robby bringing them together for his Rebella job, and now it may be headed for the same fate that the Bachelor & the Queen's relationship had earlier this year: at the bottom of the Atlantic along with Amanda's phone. And when they're at their house after the fact, they have it out.




  ENDGAME  
THE REUNION

In a fact that's known to those of you who read this site, someone who was in of my sister's senior grad class before I went to Milpitas High School over two decades ago, Jeannie Mai of The Real, is the host of the first-ever reunion for Siesta Key after a few season 1 after-shows and the many sessions of interrogation by Nilsa of Floribama Shore. And as it was for the Total Madness Reunion, the Siesta Key reunion takes place in the comfort of home and everyone being connected by Zoom.
   And like it always happens at any MTV Reality reunion, a few bombshells are revealed of what has gone in since filming ended: first, Ish got down on one knee to propose to Madisson as she beats everyone else to getting a ring on it. Second, Brandon reveals to everyone that he has now Alex in being a father in sharing custody of a new kid. And they also discuss everything from how everyone is going relationship wise, Chloe's hush bag and what went down in Nashville... and also to reiterate their support for the Black Lives Matter movement. AS THEY SAW IT: FINALE NIGHT

Other things that go down on finale night include Brandon figuring out what's next with Camilla, a last chance for Kelsey & Garrett to rekindle things slip away, and Alyssa talking to her dad of what's next as she awaits her new baby after he brings her a box of pizza as only an MTV Reality show can when it's based down in Florida.
