DC WRAP: Real World Bad Blood - "Surprise"

BY DC CUEVA
@DC408Dxtr / @DC408DxNow

It is the holiday week before Christmas, and we have a WRAP of last week's Real World Bad Blood to share with you here as we lead right into the Christmas weekend... a busy weekend ahead here at DCBLOG as we have both part 1 of our Reality Debrief and a bonus ExtraTime over the coming days.
   Last week, we got more into the up and down relationship of Katrina and Anna as the sisters had to face a therapist and before their mom flies in to settle the score with them. We had a surprise birthday party for Peter as everyone dressed in costume, and then saw him and Jenn become official - but it almost turns into a disaster as her wild day on the Puget Sound almost turns their relationship into a thing of the past. And just after she settled the score with Kim, Tyara gets surprise news of her being pregnant.
   Coming up, we'll be recapping last week's episode and its key moments, plus present our first installment this cycle of The Winner's List. Then on ExtraTime, we'll get a preview of what will await us in the new year thanks to some very good friends. Stay with us for all of this after the jump.

DC ExtraTime: Tyara and Kim - America's Next Top Models?

BY DC CUEVA
@DC408Dxtr / @DC408DxNow

Welcome on back to DCBLOG and to our second post of this Saturday doubleheader for Episode 10 of Real World Bad Blood. Earlier, we brought you the 'Pulse of that episode as a couple became official and a pregnancy scare took a roommate by surprise. So for those loyal fans, we got a treat for you with this bonus installment of ExtraTime, which taps into one of the professions discussed in our ExtraTime bit on Real World London alum and leading actress Jacinda Barrett.

For those who follow the entire reality TV spectrum, then you definitely know about one of this genre's best-known shows: America's Next Top Model. It premiered in 2003 on the UPN network and was one of the shows retained in the network's merger with The WB when those two erstwhile networks became The CW three years later. The show has been on the air just as long as many other well-known reality shows as it spent 22 "cycles" on The CW - becoming its highest-rated show and a cornerstone of the younger-skewing broadcast network co-owned by CBS and Time Warner.
   The premise of ANTM is simple: as many as 16 aspiring models come to each cycle with dreams of becoming a professional model, a chance to compete for the title of being the next one, and for the opportunity to begin their career in the always fascinating and always cutthroat world of the modeling industry. Like every other reality competition show, each contestant takes part in weekly challenges and are judged every week on their overall appearance. Then, the judges look at the weekly photo shoots and eliminate models one by one until one model is left, and to the winner goes the spoils.
   Along with the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, ANTM is TV's most successful fashion program, and while its winners have gone on to bigger and better things in this highly competitive profession, no doubt the show's most successful alum is actually the first winner: Adrianne Curry won that first season in 2003 and has modeled for nearly 20 magazines from US Weekly to Playboy; has walked the runway for Jamie Pressly and Pamela Anderson, and starred in her own VH1 show. And at San Diego Comic Con in 2014, dressed as Catwoman Adrianne came to the rescue of a friend who was sexually assaulted and counter-attacked the assailant.
   After taking a hiatus after cycle 22 last year, last Monday ANTM made its triumphant return to our TV's, now across the Viacom way at VH1. It marks a homecoming of sorts as MTV's slightly-older sibling aired second runs of episodes when they and UPN were siblings under the combined Viacom/CBS corporate umbrella. Being busy with her vast media empire, original host Tyra Banks has handed over her longtime hosting reigns to music superstar Rita Ora, and 2016 SI Swimsuit Issue model Ashley Graham headlines the judging panel, who hold the fate of a new crop of 14 female models in their hands. The one who wins gets $100,000, a magazine feature, fashion spread, a VH1 deal, a modeling contract and all the fame & fortune.

On Episode 10 this past Wednesday, we saw Tyara and Kim become the latest pair of original roommate and bad blood to try and settle their differences, and after lunch out, they squashed the beef. In light of what happened there, we'd thought we'd take you back in time to when both were in high school and did a parody of this show.
   While the two were classmates in the same class, Tya and Kim joined with fellow students to do a parody of ANTM called Alpharetta's Next Top Model at the same high school they went to in a suburb of Atlanta. Kim acted as host in Tyra Banks' spot, while Tya was one of the four contestants who moved into a nice house... or make that, a classroom turned into a house. Then, in a harbinger of what happened later when they were in that Real World house, a contestant leaves the show just before they compete in their challenge: walking up and down the runway... located in the middle of a high school cafeteria. And then, Kim welcomes the group as they all learn their fate.

It's the weekend before Christmas, and for many of you it's the start of your 2-week holiday break. And before you do your last-minute holiday shopping, DCBLOG has a recap of the week in Seattle and the Real World house. There seems to now be a calm after a two-week upheaval that took out two of the original seven strangers - the ladder in questionable fashion, and it might appear that things are getting back to normal... But that's not exactly the case.
   Just after Mike took himself out of the house fearing racial tension, last week Theo & Kassius got themselves in a big fight which was inevitable given the boiling tensions they had going back to the police raid, and the questionable decision of Theo being kicked out -- for which we discussed here at length before this week's episode. Aside from all that, there were sisters Katrina and Anna who are reconnecting but Robbie finds himself in the middle of their bond.
   This week with the house now two men down, the attention turns to the ladies and back to Tyara, where with Theo now gone her focus turns to confronting high school bully Kim, but she has no idea of what awaits her with a stunning surprise that changes it all for Tya. Those sisters attempt to mend their volatile relationship, while a surprise party brings out the funny side of Robbie. And for his ex, party girl Jenn becomes a little too much to handle for the man she now calls his boyfriend.
   Ahead, how the cast saw saw and reacted to what happened on Episode 10, plus happenings in New York with some power players, and 3. And if you are one of those fans who feels fond of those old-school Real World seasons of years gone by, we have a treat for you as after the diary, ExtraTime will catch up with one of the show's earliest alums and now its most successful when it comes to becoming big in Hollywood.

- As we begin, please note there is explicit language in many of the tweets below, but they are kept uncensored in order to retain the heat of the moment. So if you are mature enough, please read with discretion. :-)
- Plus, if you haven't watched the episode yet, then do not proceed with reading this post. But need not worry...DCBLOG will compile all of these tweets into these posts after every episode so you won't be in the dark of how your favorites saw this all unfold.

DC WRAP: RW Bad Blood EP9, and In-Depth: Theo & Kassius

BY DC CUEVA
@DC408Dxtr / @DC408DxNow

Tonight, life after Theo begins in the Real World house as before we proceed into Episode 10 of this Bad Blood season, we got a refresher on things on this edition of DC WRAP. Last week was, obviously, the fight between him and Kassius that saw Theo being kicked out of the house rather controversially, and also saw drama with Robbie and the sisters which we will discuss here on the Wrap for tonight's episode coming up early next week.
   Coming up, we'll take an In-Depth look at The Backstory of Theo & Kassius and the events that led up to last week's fight and the former being kicked out of the house. Then after the poll results, we'll have another Mannequin Challenge video to share with you with a Real World alum who knows this feeling of having to walk in to a twist unfolding before before him. See you after the jump.

We've arrived at the weekend, which means DCBLOG has the 'Pulse of the week that was in Seattle and the Real World house. And quite a episode 9 this week as for the second week in succession, a roommate has to leave the house.
   Last week, racial tensions were prevalent and the attention was on Mike, as him saying the N-word in the house and then uttering disparaging comments in front of Jordan eventually led to him leaving the house, removing himself from potentially getting into heated arguments with his roommates. We also saw the house head out into the streets of Seattle to take part in one of the Black Lives Matter protests and saw Kassius take the mic and speak, part of an episode that put the show's two main words in its title into focus.
   This week, the feud that has been going on with cousins Theo and Kassius finally hits into full throttle. Theo has his eyes on repairing that broken relationship after the marijuana raid that cost him a football career, but it's what happens with a simple Real World routine that then turns into something worse that puts everything into a tailspin. And while one pair of siblings are experiencing difficulties, Katrina and Anna have no problem reconnecting, but then they come into a bump when it comes to Robbie, and he also receives some goodies from back home, too.
   Coming up, all the action, reaction and interaction from the week in Seattle and the Trifecta, which also includes Team Subtitles watching the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and a revelation from a member of the Trifecta who's lucky to be alive. And from being with a group of Originals to the pages of TMZ to the house that the Lyons built, afterwards on ExtraTime we'll catch up with an Are You The One? alum who will soon make his way to one of television's hottest shows - all as the buzz for AYTO 5 is now in full swing.

- As we begin, please note there is explicit language in many of the tweets below, but they are kept uncensored in order to retain the heat of the moment. So if you are mature enough, please read with discretion. :-)

DC WRAP: Real World Bad Blood - "Drop The Mike"

BY DC CUEVA
@DC408Dxtr / @DC408DxNow

Tonight, an all-new episode of Real World Bad Blood takes center stage and before Life After Mike begins in Seattle, we have a refresher course to bring you here at DCBLOG with a DC WRAP of last week's episode - one full of emotions and racial feelings. There, we saw Mike get himself in trouble for saying the N-word and him bolting afterwards - the second time in 13 months that he has decided to leave a show of the Trifecta following bad behavior. We also had Kass speak at a Black Lives Matter protest in the aftermath of what happened in the house, and the group opened up about what the hardships they've gone through in their lives before coming to Seattle.
   As we prepare for L.A.M., in lieu of our traditional Things to Know episode wrap which generally appears at the beginning of our original weekly reviews of the episodes, coming up we'll have expanded analysis and perspective on this episode in another edition of DC Forum: Perspective. Then after the polls, we'll again liven things up by taking a look back at one of Real World's most infamous threesomes and how it brought back together a pair of exes, as well as a follow-up on a Real World alum being part of something we're looking forward to in the new year. See you after the break.

It's the first weekend of December and winter is in the air amidst the warmth of the holidays, as we bring you on in for the week that was in the MTV Trifecta on DCBLOG. And after taking last week off for the holidays -- which in turn allowed us to bring you our two compelling In-Depth long-form's over Thanksgiving, Real World Bad Blood has returned from its holiday retreat with a rather explosive episode.
   When we were last in Seattle two weeks ago, the scandalous hook-up between Peter and Jennifer saw major ramifications for the both: Jenn's man back home instantly cut ties with her and Peter instantly shacked up with her. He also finds himself in the drama with the sisters as a joke gone bad sparked more words with the Maze Runner. Meanwhile, the saga that is Theo and Tyara hit a snag when after she saw him with other girls at the club, she decides to move out of their room.
   This week, the attention turns to the guy who's had more than his fair share of controversy and big time drama in the Trifecta the past 15 months: when Mike makes controversial racial remarks in front of his roommates, not only is a strong relationship he's forged in the house finds itself in sour territory it also threatens his own fate as well. Also, the group embarks on a weekend retreat to a beachside resort town where they reveal personal struggles in their lives. And all of this inspires a Bad Blood counterpart to stand up for what he believes in when they take part in a national movement.
   Coming up, all the action, reaction and interaction of the episode fittingly titled, "Drop The Mic," as well as the usual lead-up and aftermath to this past Wednesday. This also includes some of the Thanksgiving weekend vibe from the Trifecta community as they marked the start of the holiday season. And if you want to have something a little more fun in your Sunday Funday, stick around for ExtraTime as we'll take you for a trip on the wild side with a man who loves to live vicariously.

DC ExtraTime In-Depth: When LMFAO Met The Real World

BY DC CUEVA
@DC408Dxtr / @DC408DxNow

It's a new week in the MTV Trifecta, and after taking last week off for the Thanksgiving holiday, Real World Bad Blood returns Wednesday as things start to unravel in the Seattle house. But first, we present another edition of DC ExtraTime In-Depth, the dedicated long-form posts of our original look at the people, moments and stories of The Challenge/Real World franchise and Are You The One?On the big day last Thursday, we brought you the inspiring and moving story of the special bond of six-time Challenge champion Johnny Bananas and his biggest fan, cancer survivor Kasey Harvey. And today, we offer our second long-form post in a week... this time, something fun that predated what would happen in pop culture just a few years later.

There was a time only recently when the buzz of the music world was a duo of Pacific Palisades, CA - west of Los Angeles. They made the Melbourne Shuffle the world's hottest dance move, and for a moment you couldn't get away from the sight of a guy with an Afro walking and dancing on the sun-baked avenues of Venice Beach with just his underwear on. Just as it was for Lady Gaga when she was given her big break being featured on The Hills before becoming a worldwide household name, our subjects were given big opportunities that put the term "Party Rock" into the mainstream musical limelight, including a stop on the show that started it all in reality TV.

On this edition of ExtraTime In-Depth, we look back to when two guys named RedFoo and SkyBlu rolled onto Cancun for Spring Break 2009 seven years ago and hung out with eight strangers, before they became - for a time - the biggest stars in music. This is what happened When LMFAO Met The Real World.

DC Sports Extra: Uncle Verne

BY DC CUEVA
@DC408Dxtr / @DC408DxNow

This Thanksgiving weekend is Rivalry Week in college football as most of the major conferences hold their last week of regular season play prior to the conference championship games, and it also means some of the sport's most-revered rivalries will take shape. Michigan vs. Ohio State will take precedent as the country's #2 and #3 teams play in what will be a charged atmosphere. The classic matchup between Notre Dame and USC will also take place, and in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the Iron Bowl will be renewed as the #1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide take on arch rivals Auburn.
   Along with next week's SEC Championship Game, it will mark the next-to-last college football assignment for one of the most-beloved sportscasters in American television, Verne Lundquist. During our coverage of The Challenge: Rivals III earlier this summer, we looked at his legendary career when he announced that he would be stepping down from calling SEC football at the end of this college football season, as well as being the recipient of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 Sports Emmy Awards in New York City. Enjoy this excerpt from this summer.

A DCBLOG Thanksgiving Special
BY DC CUEVA
@DC408Dxtr / @DC408DxNow

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you from all of us at DCBLOG, myself and my family. We hope you all are enjoying these four days off to enjoy time with family and friends, and kick back to have food, watch football, take part in the mall madness and endure hours of travel on this kickoff weekend of the holiday season.
   This week, we are taking advantage of this holiday break in the MTV Trifecta and the current season of The Real World in Seattle to bring you long-form stories from our extensive coverage of the Real World/Challenge franchise, and Are You The One?. And tonight, we begin with a special, expanded version of a unique and inspiring story from my strongest passion.

At DCBLOG, the Trifecta is our pride and joy...we bring you insightful and outstanding coverage of the three shows that galvanize viewers with its drama, its unexpected twists & turns, and its amazing people. And while we bring you all the social reaction to every episode of the three shows, and recap them too, our focus and specialty is original storytelling. We put our lens on the stories of this ecosystem brought to us by the more than 300+ alumni and current cast members of those shows and the erstwhile Road Rules. Behind these people and the moments they bring us are stories, large & small, from around the spectrum. And often, it's these kinds of stories that stand out in our coverage and present these people in a unique light outside of the TV screen.
   Most of our MTV Trifecta posts feature ExtraTime, which gives us the chance to tell these stories to you, so you can understand these people better and this world around us through the prism of the Trifecta. At the end of our Pulse diaries and Wrap recaps, or in their own dedicated posts such as this one, ExtraTime has been able to tell these great stories, both big & small, and provides more context to these people than just what MTV shows us each week. We've been able to present a slew of stories spanning both the serious and the silly, the inspiring and the unique. There is no ecosystem in reality TV that offers great drama on the screen, and fascinating stories and people off of it.

For this, our first long-form story of this cycle, this involves the person who is, along with host TJ Lavin, the face of The Challenge and whose popularity, notoriety and stature have increased over the years to where he is synonymous with this show. Starting on his original Real World season, he has had an incredible run over the past ten years spanning fourteen shows, and the latest chapter of what he did this past summer embodies the love/hate persona he has with fans, viewers and everyone within the community of this ecosystem. But as you will find out, it is not totally representative of who he is as a person overall...not everything about him is of a negative stigma.
   It is the story of a unique individual who lives and breathes the world's most popular sport but then was sidelined by a rare disease. Her story of survival invokes the story of a woman who epitomized the spirit of never giving up in the face of adversity, and how like a person who battled ovarian cancer, overcame her own battle against a childhood form of cancer, all while who she was inspired by would ultimately succumb to cancer. And along the way, she has established a special friendship with a man, who despite having a somewhat questionable image to many, has a softer side to him after the humbling experience of losing one of his best friends to cancer two years ago this month.

We've brought you this story here before, but having just marked the second anniversary of both the passing of Challenge legend Diem Brown and the disease diagnosis of the co-subject of this post at the same time, this week we're revisiting it in a longer form in light of what happened to him the last time we saw him on our screens. This story would've been lost in the shuffle if not for what happened at the end of Rivals III this past summer, but a story like this is so unique and special that we feel it deserves to be told on its own here, especially with us being able to present this during this time of family bonding and time of inspiration on this Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
   On this first installment of DC ExtraTime In-Depth, we proudly present a story of perseverance and true inspiration, and the unique relationship of a six-time Challenge champion and someone who overcame the odds. This is the story of Johnny Bananas & Kasey Harvey: A Diem Strong Bond.

DC WRAP: Real World Bad Blood - "Petered Out"

BY DC CUEVA

We have arrived at the weekend of this short work week for all of us, which means one thing: the four-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend is here. And we have this DC WRAP post to cover Episode 7 of Real World Bad Blood to share with you here before we celebrate with our families.
   Last week saw the Peter and Jennifer romance hit full bloom in the aftermath of their kiss, plus we saw the budding relationship of Theo and Tyara hit a snag. There was also Peter also finding himself in the heart of some drama with Anna and Katrina, and even an appearance from a grasshopper.
   Ahead, we'll look at those three stories in our wrap, plus results of our polls. And what has become the latest phenomenon to hit the internet? ExtraTime will bring you one member of the Trifecta's entry into the trend of people sitting still for 30 seconds of glory in social world. That's all ahead.

It's the weekend, and that means we have our look at the MTV Trifecta to share with you on DCBLOG. It's hard to think we're now halfway through Season 32 of Real World, and the Bad Blood group have made a strong impact on the house in Seattle as the various relationships among the fourteen people who call the Pacific Northwest home are heating up in the autumn cool.
   Last week, we learned more about the once-great friendship of Jordan & Orlana and the ladder revealing that she had considered taking her own life after losing her best friend. The feud between Katrina and Anna was amped up further when Peter began to get close with Anna and then went into bed with her. Jennifer went on a date with ex Robbie with intentions to settle things with him while in town, and then she and Peter share a rather scandalous kiss.
   And that hook-up sees big repercussions this week for both Jenn and Peter, with a potential break-up 3,000 miles away, tears and a rebound guy looming. The Million Dollar Maze Runner winner also finds himself in the crossfire of more drama with the sisters. And the budding relationship between two of the originals may find itself on the outs as one of them proves to be their own worst enemy and threatens to bring that all down in flames.
   Coming up, all the action, reaction and interaction from the week that was in the Real World and in the MTV Trifecta, plus remembrances of the late Diem Brown and much more... and someone very familiar might make an appearance in the lead-up tweets, too. And if you love music, you'll want to stick around afterwards for ExtraTime as we have a double dose of music to share with you on this AMA's Sunday as we'll have two hilarious videos from members of the Trifecta.

One romance goes out, another comes in. A friendship/relationship is on the rocks. More drama, and funny music... Join us next for this week's 'Pulse of Real World Bad Blood.

Well, after a most eventful week in this imperfect world we all live in, we've at last arrived at the weekend. And welcome on in to our look at Week 5 of Real World Bad Blood from the vantage point of DCBLOG on this, DCBDAY Weekend for this very blogger and writer - yours truly, DC Cueva. There's been a lot going the past several days, but if you - like many others - like to have some relief from what's been flooding your timelines and causing you plenty of fatigue, then you've come to the right place as we will look in at Episode 6 from Seattle.
   Last week was the first full week in the Pacific Northwest at double the original house occupancy as Mike and Peter made up and then pursued Jordan and Anna, respectively. Anna and sister Katrina then get into more words thanks in part to the man who's instigated plenty of activity in his MTV career. And most of the focus was on the male cousins and the building tension that came from the fallout of the marijuana discovery that cost one's football aspirations.
   This week, the focus turns from the ongoing tension between Theo and Kassius to other matters in the house. The feud that's been brewing between sisters Katrina and Anna is upped even more when Peter begins to get close with, and then gets into bed, with one of them. We finally get into the story of what befell the once-great friendship of Jordan and Orlana, and a dark secret that has been kept by one of them until now. And for the pair of exes who don't have to worry about having to throw away either's food, Jenn has eyes on closure with her ex, Robbie.

Coming up, we have how the cast saw this week's drama in the Seattle house through the social media world. Note this is a scaled down edition of the Pulse as in the lead-up and aftermath posts, there are no tweets related to the election, and we've decided that it would be best to just focus on the show itself for those of you who prefer it this way after how long the campaign was and the aftermath of Tuesday's events. And afterwards, ExtraTime will take you back in time as we catch up with a Challenge and Road Rules veteran from back in the day, and the feat they pulled off that might be the ultimate underdog tale in the history of the MTV Trifecta.

A sister feud intensifies, exes seek closure, a secret and catching up with a Challenge queen... Stay with us as DCBLOG brings you the week that was in the Real World Bad Blood house, next.

DC WRAP: Real World Bad Blood - "Fourteen's a Crowd"

Well, if you're seeking a haven of sorts from the events of the past day or so, then you've come to the right place as we welcome you back to DCBLOG and our look at Week 5 of Real World Bad Blood. While there's been drama in the campaign's last days and now with Election Day done & dusted, there has been some drama over in Seattle as the originals and Bad Blood are now united.
   Last week, the principal focus was on Theo and Kassius and their stare down of who did what in the case of pot-gate. We also had Mike and Peter patch things up and then proceed to romances with two of the girls in the house. And the saga between sisters Katrina and Anna continued as the guy who's caused a lot of drama the past 11 months causes more drama with the Stacks.
   Coming up as we now stand hours from a new episode: the Things to Know wrap of Episode 5 plus the results of our Twitter polls. And to give you something a bit more refreshing on this day after the Election, in ExtraTime we'll share with you some of the best of the Halloween costumes by the people of the Trifecta. It's the first weekend of November, and as the city of Chicago basks in Cubs fever and a divided country awaits its fate in two days' time, welcome on in to the weekend tradition that is DCBLOG's ongoing coverage of the MTV Trifecta. In Seattle, the Real World has now entered the juicy part of this Bad Blood season with the house now holding 14 people under its one roof.
   The past two weeks have seen the now customary twist unfold in the original seven's Bad Blood moving to the Pacific Northwest, and last week after an RV ride up from Portland, that group arrived in the Seattle house to the surprise, and one's expectations, of the originals. As expected, tensions and sparks flew upon the realization of this twist, and it also sparked a new romance and rekindled another. And the divide between Tyara and the house continued as her being left by the house got her riled up once again.
   This week, the first full week of this more fuller house sees more sparks fly, this time with two frenemies pursuing romances with two of the girls. The saga that is the feuding sisters turn their attention towards the guy who's been causing as much drama in the house as it was in his first time in the Trifecta last year. And while the guys and girls enjoy nights out on their own, the focus is on the two estranged cousins, whose falling out being caused by a bottle of pot that cost one his football career sees them have to deal with this right then and there.
   Ahead, along with all of the action, reaction and interaction of Episode 5, this extended Pulse will also cover a busy week with Halloween and Game 7 of the World Series. And then on ExtraTime, what happens when traveling the world is not just a pleasure, but your passion? We'll catch up with a RW alum as he ventures around the world to countries and lifestyles a lot of us might not get the chance to experience for ourselves. Clue here: it's not that guy who you think it is.

Cousins deal with past grudges, sisters battle the house instigator, and sparks fly... and much more too. Join DCBLOG for the 'Pulse of Week 4 of Real World Bad Blood, coming up.

DC WRAP: Real World Bad Blood "Sleep Mess in Seattle"

BY DC CUEVA

As we enter the month of November and with an epic sports event to take place tonight, fall is indeed in the air and we have another edition of the WRAP to look back on Episode 4, as well as Episode 3, of Real World Bad Blood as the original seven have now been joined by the exes, estranged family members and rivals in Seattle.
   Arriving the previous week in Portland and finding out about the twist upon their arrival, last week the Bad Blood of Anna, Jennifer, Kassius, Kim, Orlana, Peter and Will moved into the house after an adventurous RV trip and of course, surprised the group. We also saw the first week romance between Jordan and Mike get rekindled, as well as another one spark between Peter and Jennifer in the RV... and the gulf between Tyara and the house continue.
   Coming up, we'll have the full recap of the past two weeks in the house (the Episode 3 review was tabled over to this week because of my Las Vegas trip), plus the results of my Twitter polls. Afterwards on ExtraTime, we'll meet some of the famous friends of one of the Real World's most unique roommates, and we'll catch up with a season from ten years back. That's all ahead.

It is the weekend before Halloween, and before you party it up tonight in anticipation for Monday's spooky festivities and all the trick or treating, we at DCBLOG have this week's posts covering the collision taking place on Real World Bad Blood. And it's probably safe to say that our time in Seattle has now officially gotten underway as this season's big twist has finally moved into the neighborhood and into the RW house on Capitol Hill.
   Last week, the seven people of the original Seattle seven's past arrived in Portland anticipating being part of a new show, only for them to discover that they would be moving into the RW house and become the twist. They also embarked on a Road Rules-style RV trip up to Sea-Town as we learned about the histories they and the OG's harbor. And we saw a harbinger of what's ahead when Katrina got into a fight via text with sister Anna as the sister who's thousands of miles away from home has no idea that they would soon have to deal with this whole thing head-on in the Northwest.
   This week, the twist finally happens for real as Anna, Jennifer, Kassius, Kim, Orlana, Peter and Will move in and surprise the originals when they return from a fun day going to the local zoo. As expected, tensions and sparks fly in the house upon the newbies' arrival in the house, and the continential divide between Tyara and the house continues. Plus, the relationship between two roomies from when they moved into the house is rekindled, while another one is sparked along the RV ride.
   Ahead, all the action, reaction and interaction from the big twist being revealed to the original seven with double the housemates now calling the loft home, along with the other usual pre-episode vibe and the new BFF of the RW Bad Blood cast. Then on ExtraTime, we'll be heading into more sunnier weather as we'll join two Are You The One? alums as they embark on the unique experience of one of America's most unique festivals held in the middle of nowhere and where self-expression is the name of the game. And we'll also have the story of an almost-forgotten girl group who helped to blaze the trail for Fifth Harmony and Little Mix.

- As we begin, please note there is explicit language in many of the tweets below, but they are kept uncensored in order to retain the heat of the moment. So if you are mature enough, please read with discretion. :-)

The big reveal, some fireworks, and a trip to the zoo... Stay tuned as DCBLOG brings you the 'Pulse of Week 3 of Real World Bad Blood from Seattle.

DC WRAP: Real World Bad Blood "Not The Show You Think It Is"

BY DC CUEVA

As this DC VEGAS Weekend kicks off across my network of social media platforms here on this Saturday, this week we have an abbreviated edition of the WRAP for Week 2 of Real World Bad Blood. The Bad Blood of the original seven strangers flew to Portland this week to begin their trek up the Pacific Northwest and up the I-5 to Seattle where they will be surprising the housemates with them moving in much to the shock of the originals. This week, we had the opportunity to learn more about the histories of the castmates and their bad blood, and of course we saw the twist drop on the bad blood as they took a nice road trip through the majestic region.
   The episode Wrap, that is - the Things to Know review of the night's key moments, will be tabled over to next week's edition of the Wrap, but that doesn't mean we'll be ducking this all entirely... we'll have the results of this week's DC FORUM Polls here on this shortened edition. Afterwards, two AYTO-themed pieces of ExtraTime as an Original goes to a national political convention, while yet another AYTO baby is headed our way. Join us here next.

It's Friday and at last, we have arrived at the weekend...but not any ordinary weekend -- at least if you're yours truly. It's DC VEGAS Weekend and tomorrow the fun begins across all of my social platforms. Today, though, we have the appetizer of this week's edition of the 'Pulse of the MTV Trifecta as we bring you the social buzz surrounding Week 2 of Real World Seattle: Bad Blood.
   Last week in a two-hour premiere, the season began with the usual "Get To Know You" vibe of an old-school Real World season as excitement, anticipation and optimism took over our new group of seven strangers. In addition, we had a fight between Mike and Robbie after a family game night intended to bring the group together didn't turn out that way, and Maserobbiee had a meltdown that saw him in tears. We also saw the relative outsider of the house, Tyara, get close with Theo from the very beginning as they became the first in the house to hook up. And we got to scratch the surface of the backgrounds these roommates have which has brought them here for one reason.
   This week, it's Episode 3 and the attention turns to learning more about the histories that these original seven roommates have with seven people who know a thing or two about them. It's the broken relationships they have that put them on edge when they have inklings that people from their pasts may visit the house very soon. And as it turns out, they are right: down the way in Portland, the seven new roommates gather up for the first time to believe that they are going on a new show, only that they are the twist to the season and embark on a Road Rules-style road trip full of fun and adventure... all ahead of the collision that's about to happen.
   Coming up, all the action, reaction and interaction of Episode 3 as well as the week that was. Along with Real World buzz, this includes posts with old- and new-school of the new kid of the Trifecta, two signs of things coming for us in the new year, and the big news that took place while we were focused either on Real World or on the debate. And afterwards on ExtraTime, we have a special treat for you on this Vegas weekend as we'll have the finished product of a track that became big last season...at least to those who called Downtown Las Vegas home.

Broken relationships, a prank, a road trip and much more... Join In for the 'Pulse of this week in Real World Bad Blood, coming up.

DC WRAP: Real World Seattle: Bad Blood - The Premiere

BY DC CUEVA
@DC408Dxtr / @DC408DxNow

As we prepare for tonight's big twist and yours truly is in the countdown to being in Sin City in around 70 hours from now, welcome on back to DCBLOG as wrap up the first act of Real World Seattle: Bad Blood. Last week saw Season 32 of this reality TV pioneer begin its season with more than the usual pleasantries of the cast moving into their new house and getting to know each other in their new city.
   The two-hour "Double Shot" premiere saw the drama take over the house as Robbie and Mike engage in the season's first fight, and Magic Mike also get close to Jordan just as he did with Amanda in the AYTO house last year. Plus, Tyara made quite an impression as the difficulty of living with six complete strangers saw her isolate herself from the rest of the house, with the sole exception of Theo, which she became attracted to and eventually hooked up. And, there was a harbinger of what's ahead as the roommates opened up about their past and eventually it will come up here in Seattle.
   Ahead, we'll have our Things to Know recap of the premiere, plus the results of our DC FORUM Polls conducted on my twitter handle, @DC408Dxtr, on premiere night. Afterwards on ExtraTime, we'll join the Are You The One? Season 4 cast as they take over one of the year's biggest events in pop culture: New York Fashion Week. That's all ahead next.

DC SocialPulse: Real World Seattle: Bad Blood - The Premiere

It's the weekend, which means only one thing around here: DCBLOG presenting our recap of the week that was in the MTV Trifecta. And as we start anew here, welcome on in to the first edition of the 'Pulse of this new cycle as we look at the two-hour premiere of Real World Seattle: Bad Blood.
   Season 32 of TV's longest-running reality series and cable's longest-running show is now in full swing, which sees the show once again tweak its old-school recipe of seven strangers living in a house in a new city but familiar to older fans of the show as venue of Season 7 of the show back in 1998 - Seattle, WA. This time, the twist will ultimately hearken back to the first season of this new format - Ex-Plosion of two years ago, where seven other people with direct ties to this cast as exes, former friends, roommates and enemies will eventually make their way to the Pacific Northwest and move into the house.
   This week as the season kicks off, we begin with all of the usual excitement, anticipation, curiosity and optimism of the cast unlocking the keys to their new house in the diverse and vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood and getting to know one another as they begin this new phase of their lives in this great part of this country of ours. It doesn't take long for the drama to arrive as a fun, family game night turns into a tense situation for two of the guys. As you would suspect, new romances emerge as one complicates their friendship, and a sibling of one of the girls opens a wound from her past. But of course, the group has no idea that this is just the only time they'll be just a seven-person household... more roomies are on their way to Seattle.
   Ahead, all the action, reaction and interaction of this opening two-hour spell of the new Real World season - something I like to refer to as a "Double Shot." Note here that in the posts that don't involve the 14 people living in Seattle, activities are ongoing overseas for new seasons of The Challenge and Season 5 of Are You The One? as well too... or as I like to call it, "Many of our friends are on an overseas goodwill tour" to put it alternatively. And afterwards, ExtraTime will have a follow-up on a story we brought you here earlier this year when an unlikely Real World alum helped a person in need, and the remarkable tale of a man she discovered on the streets of her hometown.

As we begin to cover this new cycle, once again we'd like to welcome any of you who might have just hopped onto this site for the first time, and of course get comfortable around here. This is a DCBLOG signature feature presenting the other show that takes place concurrent to the madness of what we're seeing on TV. It's the social media interaction between cast members, alumni and fans that becomes equal to the big show as they wrap themselves around the communal viewing experience of watching themselves on TV. And we bring that to you as part of our MTV Trifecta coverage.
   Presented to you here each weekend, these unique, exclusive running diaries are specially designed, curated and pieced together by yours truly in real-time - tweet by tweet and uncensored - to bring the hookups, drama, and all else to you here. This is a service to all of you fans - both those who just want to relive the action, reaction and interaction in real time, or for the many who might not have experienced the buzz at the time of the episodes' ET airing and want to catch up in these diaries, posted to you here after it airs on MTV.
   And the 'Pulse is only part of the DCBLOG Trifecta experience, as we offer a unique perspective on the RW/Challenge franchise and the show that we saw one of the guys on this season previously, AYTO. We also offer episode Wraps, thoughtful & in-depth analysis, and ExtraTime original stories covering the drama, the people and the stories that take you beyond the hype, the headlines and the hookups to cover this world like no other. And it's presented by this long-time MTV fan who loves these shows as much as you do, and now covers them on this blog.

Now, the following are the actual tweets of the cast, alumni, fans and me as we got to see the premiere, along with some of the buildup to, and the aftermath of, premiere day, and of course the first episode.

So, join us here after the jump as we kick off a new cycle of the Trifecta and bring you the 'Pulse of the premiere of Season 32 of Real World Seattle: Bad Blood, coming up.

MTV Trifecta - Countdown to Real World Seattle: Bad Blood

BY DC CUEVA
@DC408Dxtr / @DC408DxNow

Hi, hello, what's up, and welcome back to our coverage of the ongoing story of the MTV Trifecta on DCBLOG. We hope you enjoyed your summer as we saw two interesting seasons of the shows we follow the most, as well as a grand Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro. But now, many of you are back to school & college, others are back to work after having their summer trips and we are back to work here after a fairly short offseason of sorts covering our strongest passion on this site.
   To us, there is something we surround like no other site in the blogosphere: one of television's longest running franchises of The Real World and The Challenge, and the new kid on the block of this threesome - Are You The One?. This site and its webmaster fan give this triple the affectionate name of the MTV Trifecta, and we treat this the same way networks do with the NFL: wall-to-wall coverage being covered from every angle wire-to-wire from the preseason buzz right thru the final act in several months from now - the holidays when this is all done & dusted.
   The most recent cycle of this triple crown, which began 13 months ago, saw two comebacks from a money losing blackout to salvage cash in the Hawaiian islands, a racially-infused cat fight in downtown Las Vegas, a red head win her first Challenge and a betrayal that made the Trifecta's biggest name the most hated as well. Needless to say, it was a most eventful twelve months and we very much needed a little time away - albeit just a 65-day offseason and nearly 2 months to the day after the Season 4 AYTO finale in August.

Now, our focus turns as it should to what's ahead and a new season of the O.G. of not just the Trifecta but all of MTV as well, as the Real World will have its cable record 32nd season premiering this Wednesday, October 12th with a double shot of back to back episodes. While we'll still have the show's unique storytelling and relatable people, as in the fairly recent past there will once again be a twist to this show as this season's cast will have to live with people from their past who harbor some animosity with. This is sure to bring more of the fireworks this TV original loves to bring us, which sees the show return to Seattle - host to Season 7 back in 1998, infamous for Stephen's slap on Irene.
   We are into October and as we enter this last week of the countdown to the new season, coming up we'll look ahead to Real World Seattle: Bad Blood and introduce you to the seven strangers and their soon to be roommates which they will be forced to live with, just as we saw with the Ex-Plosion couples back in San Francisco two years ago. Plus, just as we did to launch the last cycle before AYTO Season 3 last year - for which one of this season's castmates has their roots in, we'll also catch up with what's been going with some of the people of the Trifecta since the AYTO Season 4 finale.
   So, as we always like to say here, dust off your name tag, dress nicely and Join In with us after the jump as DCBLOG kicks off a new campaign of the MTV Trifecta and our preview of Real World Seattle: Bad Blood from the Pacific Northwest, coming up next.
