Last week, the competition in Spain came to a conclusion with the last two challenges in Malaga: the first saw the players dive into the water, and strategy played in a role in that as those who were better swimmers than those who aren't took out the win. Queen Kam joined that illustrious list of those winning three eliminations in one season in staking her claim to potentially being Outstanding Rookie of Vendettas. And then the final regular mission: a demanding time trial to test everyone who wants to make the journey to a new location and whether they are tough enough to make it to the marathon for the cash.
Zach and Nicole were the top finishers for the men and women, respectively, and gained their ticket to the Czech Republic where the final will take place, and this week we'll find out who else will join them in the quest for the six-figure payday that will take place just around the corner. But before that comes one more challenge that takes the ten semifinalists to what one of them did on Fear Factor: high-octane which will determine who will be the Elite Eight gunning for the cash. So, after one last high-adrenaline challenge that saw the semifinalists do what those who go on Fear Factor do each week, the final elite eight are as follows: Cara Maria, Kailah, Kam and Nicole will go for the girls, while the guys are Kyle, Leroy, Tony and Zach, all coming after the guy who saw his Michigan Wolverines advance to Monday's National Championship got burned by yet another blindside move by Tony and then responded by beating Brad in the last elimination, and after Jemmye and Nelson were left behind in Spain. As there's more to the story, and the WRAP will cover both this and last week's episodes and preview the final coming up a little later on.

"I'M A TOYS R' US KID!"
Last week came one of the saddest moments for all of those who are young and young at heart, and a sign for all of us to finally grow up. A company founded by Charles Lazerus in Washington, D.C. as a children's furniture store in the '40s and evolving into a toy store chain a decade later, Toys "R" Us, announced that it will go out of business in mid-May and closing all of its stores across the country. This comes almost on the heels of its parent company filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last fall and then starting liquidation proceedings after the end of the holiday shopping season.
The sight of Geoffrey the Giraffe has welcomed children of all ages to his stores the world over, becoming the prominent brand of offering toys of all sorts to several generations. It has been an icon of joy to kids everywhere -- 80s babies, 90s kids and Generations Y & Z included -- who know the exact feeling of being a Toys R Us kid. But the evolving business world became too much for them to stay in business in the 21st century, and the news of this brought tears to everyone as all its stores will soon close, though efforts are underway to keep half of them open for generations to come.
This brings us to this flashback to two years ago: on Real World Bad Blood, we met Robbie, a New Jersey DJ who came to Seattle as one of the two whose counterpart was an ex – in his case, it's his ex Jennifer who in turn dated Peter, Mike's bad blood. On Thursday, we featured the man they call "Maserobbiee" joining with the throngs of fellow EDM enthusiasts for the 20th annual Ultra Music Festival as the biggest names in dance descended upon Miami, including supergroup Swedish House Mafia closing out the 3-day event.
Just after he returned from filming that most recent Real World season in Seattle -- and where he even got to do a few DJ gigs there in the Emerald City, Robbie was invited to do a DJ function in his Jersey home digs. But instead of a nightclub on a Friday night to kick off the weekend, he instead brought his rig and all related equipment for an outdoor gathering in the parking lot of a Toys "R" Us regional headquarters building.
Okay, there's no toy store located in that building where adults are just doing office work instead of kids running around the place to the thrill of their favorite items, but when you get to entertain 1,500 people for a corporate tailgate that is still a very nice gig. And look who makes an appearance...
Coming up on the WRAP, a recap of the last two challenges in Spain and the last regular challenge og the season in the Czech Republic, and we'll return to the Strategy Room for our look at how our finalists have arrived for their shot at the big payday. Plus, we'll join a Trifecta veteran as he takes part in the March for Our Lives as the gun control debate that, last month, broke the hearts of those at his high school alma mater reaches the nation's capital. And there's also some baby news as well.
