Last week saw the dirtiness of what The Challenge is about be on display in what's believed to be the middle leg of a global trilogy. A confrontation her man Jordan had with Turbo saw the defending champ leave the game, while Leroy decided to ditch his long-standing position being an independent party in house politics in risking a long friendship with Vegas alum Nany as a result. Those came in between a mud football challenge that finally saw the Brits win a challenge legitimately to finally gain a step if they want to go after the dominant Americans, but it's them botching an elimination chance in putting in Georgia that cost them dearly and led to fireworks with her and her mates, but led to the first turncoat in Tori moving to Team UK after her win over the female Islander.
Whenever anyone goes on a hot streak of winning challenges or eliminations, or if an AYTO house can ride the wave of a truth booth match to a high number at a matchup, momentum is always your friend in MTV quarters. But after crawling their way to house control for just the second time all fall, this week the onus is on the Brits to chug away at the Americans' advantage after garnering their first turncoat... but Roman numerals and the water may have something to say about that. A number of people still left here share the spotlight - even including a cameo from someone not on this season through the magic of television... but at night's end, we see two of the players provide us with something we've never had before.

They have all the available IP to make this all happen + we may get to see MTV's global shows (EOTB UK, Geordie, etc) for the first time too. For now, we are served nicely by MTV's many channels on Pluto and I do enjoy it. But it would an even better deal to have that OTT outlet where all those shows are available to everyone. Something to think about as the Viacom/CBS merger takes shape once they finalize that soon

Now, winter is coming and among the next items on our dossier is the new spinoff season of Ex On The Beach: Peak of Love, which debuts in less than a month from now. In the coming week or so, we'll plan to have a special Pulse Extra to cover the last time an MTV series had a winter theme to it as we'll be featuring a rare binge-fest of the snow-laden version of Jersey Shore, Winter Break: Hunter Mountain. That will come along then before we offer our traditional season preview of EOTB on Thanksgiving weekend and our introduction to the talent-laden newbie class who will be joining Challenge finalist Nicole and Jordan's Rivals 2 partner Marlon in New Zealand.
For now, next up for us is to look ahead at Season 3 of Floribama Shore with Gus, Mattie and the rest of the Florida crew as they take their show to St. Petersburg, as well as a look back at memorable moments from Season 2. And we'll also be joining the man who faced Zach in a classic elimination as heads to space to meet up with one of the world's most fascinating figures and the man whose clothing company is a key part of The Challenge experience... that and other things are ahead.
And as you wait for all of these posts to come your way, tonight we saw the rematch of YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul, and in this War of the Worlds battle it was the Brit who came away with the split decision on points over the American tonight in Los Angeles. Not long ago, we featured Logan meeting up with Rogan while they were both in London - the older Paul brother for one of the pre-fight press conferences and one half of #Jogan for the reunion... check it out here.
