Along with this ongoing global pandemic, it was back in the early summer of last year that things as we knew it when it comes to the casts of some of reality TV's most vaunted franchises were upended by the Black Lives Matter movement when the police-initiated murder of George Floyd ignited the firestorm of protests that gripped the world's attention during a most chaotic year. And along with it affecting both The Challenge and Siesta Key, the past undoing's and actions by reality personalities also shook one of Hollywood's most well-known hangout joints.

Three years ago, Faith Stowers found herself as one of the ten entrants to the Ex On The Beach house in Hawaii and then competed on two seasons of The Challenge... but she was also someone unique in the environment of Vanderpump Rules. She was the only Black cast member of the Bravo series, being known before crossing into MTV space for her brief affair on Jax Taylor and causing him to cheat on Brittany Cartwright. And it was last year that a 2018 off-camera incident was brought to light where original VPR castmates Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute sent local police a false police report involving Faith. After it made waves in British red top tabloid The Daily Mail, Stassi used racially insensitive language when sharing that article while also discussing it on her podcast... but the damage had been done, and she & Kristen were booted from the show.

Faith is now plotting her own course in the world of reality television as she has been shopping around her own series to other outlets following her career in owning her own business in addition to following her life as a mom after beating out everyone else in the SUR world (including Scheana) to parenthood. And last week to kick off a different than usual Grammy Week, she got to hang out with one who has ambitions on becoming a household name as she got to drop some new music...

grew up in the Oak Park neighborhood in California's capital city of Sacramento in a family of three brothers, but who was most well-known in motorsports circles for the accomplishments of her dad Tony, who was an accomplished motocross rider, a builder of hot rod cars and being a Hollywood film stuntman. Lexy also followed in the shadow of her father in racing those motorbikes when she was in elementary school before turning her attention to music and dancing.

For one who won a beauty pageant at age 5 Lexy is a trained dancer in ballet, jazz and hip-hop, having gotten to "move it, move it" all her life... but she found it best in showcasing her talent using her voice. In looking to Christina Aguilera and the late Whitney Houston and Aaliyah as inspirations in her career, she was a member of a girl group who got to share a stage with Keith Sweat, walked the offices of major labels and even got a song on the radio at L.A. hip-hop powerhouse Power 106. She even made it into the big time in cameoing on HBO's Entourage before turning solo and releasing singles independently.

And there was also a time after she moved down from Sacramento to Southern California that Lexy found herself in a brief relationship with a member of British royalty, but not with that Royal Family. For some time in 2018, she dated Brooklyn Beckham, one of the several siblings of the family nurtured by who was once the world's most revered soccer player, David Beckham, and wife and former "Posh" Spice Girl Victoria. And Brooklyn's family tree also stretches to Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley, in addition to having dated ChloĆ« Grace Moretz and others before getting engaged to Nicola Peltz last year.

However, Lexy made it into our millennial consciousness when she got to do what became a popular American pastime in the 2010's: the art of twerking. When a video of her bending over and getting down in shaking that booty went viral, she thought to herself that she could make a living in part by building a presence on social media... and today she boasts a 2.7 million Instagram following, another 2 million on YouTube, and just over 3 million on Facebook. But she can attribute much of that growth to building her own company TwerkOut, which inspires everyone to embrace their bodies and confidence -- or "ConfiDANCE" -- through movement and being active.

Lexy has turned her focus back to music when she dropped the EP A Gemini Valentine last year and then serving as opening act to upcomer DaniLeigh on her lone tour prior to the live music shutdown. Lexy herself then dropped her first full-length album Baddie Vibez which she recorded in a trailer while embracing her new rap alter ego named Virgin Lex, which as she told website Flaunt, "I wanted to do music that I felt comfortable performing, something that's myself that I wouldn't be nervous doing. This album was more I get to fully dive into being me. It was my first attempt at a rap album so I'm not going to say it's my best, but I gave in what I gave in for sure and it’s only going to get better. I'm excited."

One of the good things to come out of the life we've all been living the past year in quarantine has been the emergence of that place where you can post anything you want and don't have to worry much about content... but OnlyFans hasn't just been where reality stars can post NSFW goodies. Lexy has used her strong social following to help drive fans to her page on that site, posting twerk freestyles, dance tutorials, music videos and becoming one of the very first artists to debut new music on OnlyFans rather than through the traditional method of streaming and digital music stores.

A week ago in Los Angeles, Lexy hosted a quarantine-safe music video premiere party for her OnlyFans subscribers and with some of her closest friends as she debuted the new clip for the lead track off of Baddie Vibez, "Die Before You Love Me." The song addresses the reality everyone who comes to Hollywood to pursue their dreams in the entertainment industry, and Lex was inspired to pen the track after the tragic death from an overdose in the summer of 2017 of Lil' Peep. And she has made it part of her goal in the music world to help uplift fellow artists and make sure that musicians who are deeply devoted to their craft get the respect they rightfully deserve, especially with the current situation.

The "Die Before You Love Me" video party had everything you'd expect in the sight of the Hollywood Sign for a star-studded soiree with custom food and cocktails, a magician, custom merch, a DJ, live music from the guest of honor and, of course, a red carpet -- something that we've not had much of in the past year. And this gala was attended by YouTubers (and Lexy's boyfriend) Alex Wassabi and Tayler Holder, the one behind viral hit "Rascal" - RMR, a collaborator on Lexy's album Kallie Rock, and Faith... as the three-time MTV alum got to spend that Monday night there. And who knows, you may hear Lexy a bit more in the future...
