Very soon on here, we'll be going into overdrive when the spring that is already underway in the story of 2022 in MTV Reality turns up another notch with the first offering of the show that we cover on here the most. And the updated order of operations on here will see us lead off with the juicy entrée of the sultry drama in Siesta Key, then serve up the main course of 2022's first installment of The Challenge in the third season of All-Stars, and round it all off with the dessert of love in many forms on Ex On The Beach. But before we get to think about having three shows to cover on here -- and we're prepared for that, we have a rather fine appetizer for those of you hungry for some action before the action.

The vision DCBLOG has in mind is to not only cover the episodes every week, but also shine a light on the stories of television's most unique reality programming and sometimes of those inspired by it. The ExtraTime series has afforded us hundreds of opportunities to explore this slice of life over the past ten years, but it's hard to think that the subject we have covered on here the most in this franchise doesn't even have to do with someone who has starred on these MTV shows (even though he has been to a couple reunions for these shows)... but rather one who is a fan of these shows like this blogger is, but also has become a star in himself on YouTube.

Five years ago, this website was first drawn to a fan of The Challenge from Secaucus, New Jersey who got to meet the cast of the show's first $1 million season when he and some of his high school friends joined the Season 30 cast for workout sessions during premiere week of XXX: Dirty 30. But it wasn't because of Andres Rodriguez meeting one of those All-Stars who will take to South America in a few weeks in his favorite challenger Kailah Casillas and the rest of that cast that we first featured him on here, but rather for that he was the creator of several homemade reality shows for YouTube -- otherwise known as "live reality games." And we have followed Dre's entire journey ever since, covering both the action that takes place in his own backyard and the drama that goes down from places across America.

And this winter, the latest chapter for what is known to its creator and his 1,000 YouTube followers as Dre.Media went down in that familiar place: his house... and that means one thing: Caucus Challenge.

Like much of the reality television slate across broadcast, cable, streaming and even to channels like his, Andres' magnum opus was put on hold by the pandemic... but good thing this producer, editor, host, challenger and main protagonist had a few seasons of The Life We Live to fall back on. But it was when things got back to normal a bit did production resume on his beloved Caucus Challenges.

Dre and company have done these shows since he was a junior at Secaucus High School in New Jersey -- the same town that doubles as home to the media departments and replay command centers for both the National Basketball Association and Major League Baseball and not far away from the football Giants, Jets, horse racing and the American Dream megamall at the Meadowlands. Things might have changed, but it seems that things like this remain the same, and Season 12 is taking the best of who is familiar to those who watch the show and those who bring a fresh new energy to this.

The synopsis for Season 12 that accompanies its trailer above reads: "They say “out with the old and in with the new!” Dre.media’s “The Caucus Challenge” is back for it’s twelfth season. Last season was the start of a new Era. We’re Bringing back familiar faces and completely new ones, the game has evolved. Some of you are here for revenge. Others are here for redemption. But you are all Rogue! Welcome to The Caucus Challenge Rogue Royale."

Season 12's class of eighteen competitors, like it was for the previous season of Novice Era, is just about evenly divided down the middle: ten players are returning once again with over twenty past appearances under their belt and a few having gone all the way to the win. The other eight are making their debuts on the Caucus Challenge, with two of them being new to the Dre Media world (including one who boasts a rarity in this franchise of also being a mom as well and five having debuted on TLWL.

ADRIAN - Rookie (TFC): As a standout Rookie competitor, this all-star athlete powered his way to an impressive placement on “TFC: Campground Games.” Falling short and being purged out, Adrian is crossing over to TCC to go for the gold. This time, he may find it more of a challenge, as he no longer is competing with only family. Seeing the dynamic of the game, he gravitates to the vets, in favor of a power alliance. Will the young buck be able to keep his trash-talking in check and let his athleticism do the talking, or will his connections to certain vets threaten any hope of seeing a final?
AVA - 2nd Season: “The Ava Experience” made quite a splash on “The Life We Live” series as one of the most iconic and messiest individuals to enter the house. Though her rookie experience on “The Caucus Challenge” didn’t last long, Ava has made herself hard to forget to her former roommates and competition. With a little experience under her belt, this enthusiastic sophomore hopes to build off last season, get her redemption, revenge, and maybe even take down some of the game’s top dogs along the way.
BEATO - 3rd Season (1 Final): This tamed beast returns to the game eager to improve upon his showing on “Novice Era”, where he was the first competitor eliminated, leaving empty handed. Unhappy by the loss, Beato is more determined than ever to walk away with some money, redemption, and of course revenge. Once again, he’ll be joined in the game by his best friend and close ally Ava. Learning his lesson last season, Beato will have to rely on more than just his brawn if he hopes to avoid elimination and make it all the way to his second Final.
CLAY - Rookie (TLWL): An alumni of “The Life We Live” Clay hasn’t experienced a whole lot of success when it comes to making friends in the Dre.Media franchise. He’s coming into this game with his eyes on a final, redeeming himself off the TLWL mini competition he won in Dallas, and a bit of revenge for those who have wronged him in the past. Coming in as a free agent, Clay will have to play his own game and fight his way to a win.
DAMARIS - 5th Season (2 Finals): Hot off her second win, Damaris returns in search of a third championship. Damaris might be one of, if not the best female competitor on the show. Over her run of success, She has leaned heavily on intimidation, and performance to coast through games while hardly even sniffing elimination. Damaris is a well-rounded player with a laid-back personality, avoiding drama and strictly here to compete. She can undoubtedly be a major asset or obstacle in TCC. Regardless, Damaris will have to dig deep and join forces with a different alliance, if she hopes to make her way back to a final.
DEJA - 6th Season (2 Finals): Deja is back and hungry for more than just cash. In particular, she is seeking redemption after volunteering to save her allies and getting sent home in a double elimination on “Novice Era.” As an experienced Vet and strong competitor, Deja definitely has what it takes to make it far. Entering the game with many allies and friends, will her up-and-down history with big dogs like Lance, JT and Damaris cause friction within her game and lead to yet another untimely departure?
E’DARIUS - Rookie (TLWL): E’Darius aka Taco joins the “Caucus Challenge” cast after making his reality-TV debut on the Dre.media series “The Life We Live. He was on “TLWL Season 7,” where he openly expressed his affection for an OG roommate (Lance). After feeling played and vulnerable on “TLWL”, Taco is here to redeem his character and get some revenge on those who took his kindness for granted. He soon finds himself in dangerous waters when his strategy collides with his emotions.
EEZY - Rookie (TLWL): Here’s another “The Life We Live” alumni. Eezy is the OG of the OG’s, after years of declining the chance to compete he’s finally giving the game a shot and hopes to make some money. He’s known for being messy and stirring the pot. Entering the game with a fresh rivalry and his veteran bestfriends, he is sure to have more than a few targets on his back. Will Eezy be able to work alongside some of the strongest players, or will his well known title of being a “Flip-flopper” make him an early candidate for the chopping block?
JANIECE - 2nd Season: Janiece is back after an impressive rookie debut but fell just short of reaching her first final during “Novice Era”, when a plan was set in motion to blindside her and JT, sending them home. She no longer has a top Veteran partner (Dre) at her side and will have to manage her game with the knowledge and experience He has left her. This is only her second challenge, though she’s made plenty of rivalries along the way. Janiece may not be the most physically imposing competitor, but she more than makes up for it with massive mental strength and determination.
JESS - Rookie: This brunette bombshell, is here for a good time and hopefully a long time. Jess, enters the game alongside her best friends Ava and Beato but will have to make a good impression on the rest of the competitors and hold her own if she hopes to stick around long-term. Having connections to some vets she finds herself on thin Ice, when her closest allies cut deals and make waves at their own accord.
JT - 3rd Season (1 Final): JT is the winner of his first-ever “Caucus Challenge” season “Rivals Roulette.” He is looking for redemption and revenge after being blindsided and voted off, falling short of his second win on “Novice Era.” JT is one of the best athletes on the show but has come to realize the game is more than just physical. Without his right hand man, and best friend (Dre) in the game, JT will have to take everything Dre has taught him and implement it to his game. Will JT be able to rally troops, head to battle, and get his second win, or is the target on his back just way too serious?
KENDRYCK - 4th Season (3 Finals): Kendryck is back on the show after an 3-year break, last seen on TCC: Deception. He is one of the best competitors from earlier seasons and is back for redemption. Making it to a final on every challenge he’s competed on, Kendryck will have to adjust to this new Era of the game to claim his well deserved crown. Coming into the game he wants to hold his “Lone wolf” title not relying or owing anyone anything. Will this work out for him or will he soon realize he’s playing with sharks, not wolves.
KRISTEN - Rookie: Kristen is a “Caucus Challenge” rookie and single mother to her six year old son, Danny. There are rumors that she was originally cast to be on “Novice Era” but things didn’t work out. She overcame a challenging upbringing that left her thick-skinned and unafraid to stand up for herself and what’s right no matter what. She will have to summon that drive if she hopes to make it far in game. As a Rookie, however, she has a long road ahead of her and will have to make some allies fast if she wants to survive.
LANCE - 2nd Season (1 Final): Lance is better known for his exploits inside the “TLWL” houses than he is for his success in the TCC competition. He’s coming off his rookie season, where he claimed The Caucus Challenge crown. Lance is coming in with many vendettas against him and as the reigning champion. With a bold personality like his, and a strategic mind, Lance is a force to be reckoned with.
MARCIE - Rookie (TLWL): After filming a season of “The Life We Live”, Marcie is debuting on The Caucus Challenge. The last time we saw Marcie, she was partying in the “TLWL” house causing some tensions with her roommates Mike and Ruth. Fortunately, their friendships recovered and now she returns looking to redeem herself and achieve Challenge glory. Unafraid to rock the boat, speak her mind, and devious reputation, surprisingly Marcie enters the game in a great social standing with majority of the alumni and rookies across the board.
MIKE - 2nd Season: Mike has appeared on most of the recent “The Life We Live” seasons, but he’s still looking for a first-place finish on TCC. Disappointed by his poor showing on his rookie debut “Rivals Roulette.” this familiar face returns looking to prove he has what it takes to make it deeper into the game. Fortunately, he’ll have some friendly faces joining him in the house. Still, Mike will have to be strategic about his relationships if he hopes to make it further than he did last time around.
RUTH - Rookie (TLWL): When it comes to intimidating Rookies, Ruth may be at the top of her class. This kindhearted, outgoing, “TLWL” alumni is an all-out physical beast who enters this season looking to dominate her competition. Of course, there’s more to The Challenge than just raw athleticism, and Ruth will have to navigate the social aspect of the game if she hopes to make it far. She proclaims herself as one of the game’s most loyal competitors, navigating the game alongside close-knit allies - in particular, Marcie and E’Darius. Will her loyalties be tested? Beyond her loyalty, Ruth may well be one of the biggest threats to emerge victorious on her very first season.
SHAINA - 3rd Season: Shaina is a “Caucus Challenge” veteran with no win under her belt, and is looking to get her first win. Her abilities and skill have been tested in past seasons, where she single handedly won multiple eliminations before placing second in a final. After an extended absence, coming back after so much time off could prove difficult for her as she has never played alongside the game’s new era of faces and physical demand. Fortunately, she’ll have some of her best-friends and “TLWL” friendships to give her footing and advance her in the game.

Adrian, Ava, Beato, Clay, Damaris, Deja, E'Darius, Eezy, Janiece, Jess, JT, Kendryck, Kristen, Lance, Marcie, Mike, Ruth and Shaina all find themselves in this neighborhood of just over 22,000 as they're about to launch themselves out of the starting gate like those horses at Churchill Downs. What they will be tackling is a season that will have a lot of action, gameplay and just as many twists that they will have to maneuver through which will sure test both their game and even their loyalties. But all of them have their eyes on the prize... but if they have to get they they might have to be dishonest.
Hence, the title "Rogue Royale" that is the title of Season 12 of The Caucus Challenge. And below, enjoy the entire season as you get to follow it all with Dre back in the driver's seat as host.

As for what's next, there is plenty to come from Dre.Media. While getting to film TLWL in Orlando and both this and the previous Caucus Challenge seasons last year, Andres got to also document his entire summer of 2021 with the six people who represent his ride or die: Seven Mutual Friends is ongoing right now as he, Deja, Eezy, JT and Shaina of this season are joined by Lauren and Leo as they get to enjoy their lives after a year being mostly apart from one another.
And just this week amidst the mania of the new Challenge season, Dre unwrapped a first look below of the show that comes on afterwards MF7: Season 8 of The Life We Live which also represents a first for the spinoff. For the first time, TLWL will return to where a past season of the Real World-like show took place: the Poconos hosted Season 2 in the fall of 2019, and where that place in Pennsylvania saw skeletons crash that end of summer visit. We all are anticipating that and the first Caucus Challenge of 2022 to take place this summer... we, of course, will be featuring them on here then.
