NOTE: This story had been planned to go up on this site back in the fall of 2022 prior to the start of the Ride or Dies season; however due to the various things going on in this blogger's life outside of this site, this story has been pushed back by quite a bit to just before the newest season of the media franchise we have covered more than any other outside of the MTV world begins in one week from tonight.
During the course of our ten years of this DCBLOG odyssey, we have covered dozens of seasons, hundreds of episodes and just as many people across many different shows, and countless numbers of stories from around the MTV Reality world. But there has been one item that we have covered more than any other outside of our primary beat... and it's something inspired by this site's biggest draw. And just as it has been for a few shows that we've seen through over this past decade, it's something that we have followed every step of the way on here.
By now, those who've visited this site quite a bit and have seen what he's been able to do know the story: a 2017 trip to a New York City studio space saw Andres Rodriguez & his friends spend a day of their high school summer vacation getting to work out alongside the Season 30 Challenge cast. But we were drawn to them because of the fact that they had done a homemade, made for YouTube version of the big show that they got to do for fun at his house over the summer and on spring break. It's unique, original and one-of-a-kind that would make you think that what they do might be just as good as the show we cover on here the most and he obsesses over just as much as you and I.
We at DCBLOG have been able to follow not only every season of The Caucus Challenge on here, but also the various subsets of what is now the passion project that is the Dre.Media world. It has seen Dre and co. branch out of that Secaucus, NJ backyard for trips across America for multiple seasons of Real World-like docuseries The Life We Live, and spending a summer with his friend clique on Seven Mutual Friends. It's a remarkable feat of getting to produce over twenty seasons of addictive YouTube content that has entertained those wanting something else to watch in between Challenge Wednesdays and everything else on the television dial and streaming apps -- much of which during this pandemic.
But for everything this awesome kid has been able to do over the past eight years, all things revert back to the show that started it all... and last fall came the latest chapter: the thirteenth installment of The Caucus Challenge, and a season that brought different worlds to his house.
For the most direct explanation for the inspiration of this Caucus Challenge season, just glance over at every season of the MTV Challenge since Vendettas - and in a way since Battle of the Exes 2: the idea that the world at large could play in that game has rejuvenated that franchise whether you like it or not. What was just the domain of just Real World and Road Rules alumni and an occasional sprinkling of Fresh Meat has expanded to bringing those from Britain, from love shows, from Big Brother and the four corners of this world to this franchise.
The events of the past few years caused Andres to pivot from doing a full slate of shows to just his TLWL travels (only after things had subsided a bit in this world)... but 2021 saw the Rodriguez backyard reopen for business in Novice Era, followed last summer by Rogue Royale. At the same time, the trips he & his friends made to the Poconos, Florida and Western America brought plenty of new talent to the Dre.Media fold.
And the show's growing standing among MTV Challengers, fellow YouTubers and viewers -- partially a result of our blog coverage of this series -- provided inspiration for this thirteen season: Caucus alumni, TLWL housemates, alumni of what's known in YouTube circles as "Live Reality Games," reality gamers and even superfans of this series, all coming together... hence, "Worlds Collide."

Every DCBLOG Challenge season preview puts out the old-time cliché that there is something for everyone... and this Season 13 crop of competitors also fits that bill too. Veterans of many Caucus Challenges, alumni of The Life We Live, and a few total rookies have been chosen for this daunting task. Among the crop of competitors includes a superfan from the Mitten who eagerly awaits his chance to face the vets, the series' first-ever international player, and TLWL housemates making their debut.
🌎 AMANDA: Dre.media’s sweetheart is returning once more on TCC. She says “love the game. I really do, but it’s a dirty game..” Amanda has been competing since the very first season and has always come up short. She’s doubtful of her ability and has a hard time making moves against her friends. She plays the nice girl game and ultimately never sees the end. Coming back she more ready than ever to touch a final again and secure her fist win.
🌎 CLAY: The underdog king is back! Clay had a rough path on his rookie season of TCC, seeing elimination after elimination. With his back against the wall, against majority of the house, and losing his allies, one by one, he hopes for a different tactic this time around. Coming into this season he plans to uphold his status, making it to the final, and becoming a champion.
🌎 CT: Representing Michigan, CT is here to win it all. After infamously trolling some veterans online, he has a lot to prove and back up.. Coming onto TCC as a rookie with absolutely no relationships CT will have to rely on every aspect of the game. Not afraid to stir the pot and make some waves, this rookie is here to make a name for himself and is ready to take down the “Kingdom” of kings and queens, we call the champions.
🌎 DAMARIS: Two time champion, Damaris is stepping into this game confident and ready to compete. She’s here for one thing and one thing only.. to win. Damaris stays clear of drama and is known for her physical dominance in this game. She is no stranger to eliminations and is ready to take down anyone in her way.
🌎 DEJA: The one and only, Deja is here to secure her second win. Tired of making finals and coming up short, she is more determined than ever to get her crown back! Deja is not one to play the middle and is ready to ride or die with her allies and friends. Will Deja be able to get to the end with her people, or will she soon find out there are snakes in the grass and the game has changed?
🌎 EEZY: Dre.Media’s OG flip flopper is coming back for his second season of TCC. After making a rookie debut and removing himself from the game right before the final, Eezy is more than ready to prove the Haters wrong and play this game. This season he knows how to play and wants the crown. With money on the line he is willing to cross anyone including his friends and boyfriend. Will his strategy get him far?
🌎 GABIE: This stud has arrived on The Caucus Challenge, and is ready to play. Gabie is an outgoing, free spirited individual who initially took this opportunity to meet new people and have fun. Despite her muscles and athletic demeanor, coming in with positive energy and a charming personality, Gabie’s social game is sure to help her in this game. Will Gabie get the experience and even possibly the title she’s looking for or will she soon realize she’s playing a game of deception?
🌎 HAJAR: TLWL’s newest addition Hajar is quickly making her second appearance on Dre.Media! Hajar is well liked by all her cast mates and plans on keeping it that way. On her TLWL season she managed to place 2nd in their mini house challenge, winning multiple eliminations and aligning with her bestfriend Tobias. Nervous to play this game, Hajar is here to have fun and get the TCC experience. Are you rooting for Hajar?
🌎 JANIECE: The queen, the reigning champ, is stepping into the game she has now mastered and conquered. We’ve seen her do it all from winning challenges to getting loud and in drama! Walking into this game Janiece has aligned herself with some of the strongest players and hopes to keep the trust and unity going. She is the only female veteran to have never seen elimination and she plans on keeping it that way. Will Janiece keep her crown safe and get back to back championships?
🌎 JAYLEN: TLWL: Dallas’ most loved newbie is finally making his debut on TCC. Jaylen has done it all on TLWL. The partying, showmancing, and of course the drama! Jaylen is coming in with his bestfriend Lance, but is going to try to stay clear of any baggage that comes with their friendship. Jaylen is a secret assassin as we’ve only seen surface level when it comes to his strategic capabilities and competitive drive.. Ready to crown himself the newest champ Jaylen is ready to play the game, whether it’s honest or snaky.
🌎 JOSH: Josh is known for his goofiness and his wildcard personality. When he steps foot in the game, you never know what to expect. After going home in a double elimination, Josh has a lot to prove. He’s coming back to redeem himself and trying to touch that final. In his words, “it’s not how you start it’s how you finish.” Will Josh get the redemption he seeks?
🌎 JT: Devastated by making it to, and losing in the last Final, after playing a mastermind game, JT is back and determined to prove he has what it takes to bring home the title of 2x champ. With his past gameplay JT knows he has a target on his back, he is a straight shooter, and will have to rely on his athletic abilities, and MF7 besties, Deja, Shaina, and Eezy, if he hopes to make it through the game.
🌎 KEVIN: Everyone’s TLWL’s crush is crossing over to crush TCC! Since day one Kevin has dreamt of competing on the caucus challenge along side some of the most notorious players the game has seen. From watching every season, to joining the TLWL family, Kevin is finally getting the opportunity to showcase his competitive side. Kevin is walking in with many relationships, including his boyfriend Eezy. Kevin wants to flip this game and hopes to have a rookie revolution. Can he pull off this upset?
🌎 KRISTEN: If there’s one thing Kristen is known for it’s her infamous “Mom voice” and being in drama! On her rookie season she was not afraid to speak her mind and choose a side. Being a rookie she chose to play loyal and safe, BUT was loyal to a fault, sending her home close to a final. Returning, she’s learned the game and knows her boundaries. She’s here for herself and will play the game that clears a path for her victory. She’s coming in with her bestfriend Janiece and plans to steer away from the drama so that they can run a final together. Will Kristen’s plans work?
🌎 LANCE: From taking the Champion crown as a rookie, to first boot on his second season, Lance is coming back into this game with his guard up. Ready for Redemption and some revenge, Lance hopes to work with the newer faces to take down head honchos, JT and Mike. Ready to strike and take the crown once again, Lance’s reputation is on the line and he will do whatever it takes to show why he’s the king.
🌎 LAUREN: If it isn’t one of the OG’s of OG’s, Lauren has crashed the competition! Coming in as an alternate Lauren is not prepared for this game. Lauren is one of TLWL’s icons and is the girl everyone want to party and travel with! Coming into this game as a rookie, she has strong ties with other players, including her bestfriends. With such tight bonds and protection from MF7, she’s going to have to get her head in the game if she plans on making a final.
🌎 MIKE: The reigning champ is back! After playing a Lowkey, under the radar game, Mike is ready to win this game all over again. Last season he made his choice and drew the line when siding with JT and MF7, being part of the most dominating alliance “The Avengers.” Mike has a massive target on his back and his cards are on the table, will he be able to make it to a final?
🌎 SHAINA: “If I’m going down, you’re all coming with me.” ShAina is back for her 5th and final Caucus Challenge! After being sent home first on TCC: Rogue Royale, Shaina considered not returning. It wasn’t until the uproar all the drama started, that she knew she would come back and prove not only to herself but to everyone else that she has what it takes to win. Ready to leave this game behind her, Shaina is set on masterminding this game and taking the crown. She knows her strengths and weaknesses, and will use whatever and whoever she can to make that final.
🌎 SIERRA: For the first time Dre.Media has an international player! Representing her country Honduras, Sierra is taking this competition head on. Only knowing her close friend Josh, will she be able to hold her own and pull her weight or will she be an easy target. She says she’s here for it all, the competition, the partying, and whatever drama there’s to come! Welcome to the game Sierra!
🌎 TOBIAS: When Dre.Media calls, Tobias picks up! Switching over from TLWL to TCC, Tobias plans on using his charm to get him far in the game. He’s here to make a mark and shake this game up. Wanting to band the rookies together and take out the “higher power” he refuses to just be a number and let the vets have an easy ride. Does Tobias have what it takes to compete with the best or will he quickly learn TCC isn’t for everyone?
Amanda, Clay, CT, Damaris, Deja, Eezy, Gabie, Hajar, Janiece, Jaylen, Josh, JT, Kevin, Kristen, Lance, Lauren, Mike, Shaina, Sierra and Tobias all come into Dre's backyard looking to either prove themselves or to add to their legacies in this latest chapter. Some have redemption on their minds, while others have a score to settle with their vendettas... and a few are eager to launch their own rookie revolution. There's even a few twists up the sleeve of our host Dre... and that may give reason for the teams to try and win at all costs, as they all have their eyes on the prize at season's end. And below, indulge yourself in watching the entire season as it unfolds.
