There in Namibia, a favorite challenge of every season saw players wipe out and take tragic slams while also battling heights hundreds of feet above ground... it was no surprise that this was a mission that saw this season's Ninja treat this death-defying task as her own playground. Meanwhile the Kyle and Paulie rivalry rolled along, while a double elimination shocked everyone in the battle to stay in the game, and in the case of the vets, trying to keep a sinking boat of experienced doyens afloat. But it was Kyle & Mattie that sent home CT & Julia and Natalie & JP in the end.
To become a Challenge champion, two things are necessary if you make it all the way to the final: stamina and endurance. That's what's on tap for Week 5, as the war is on not just among teams, but even allies for the "Tired Out" challenge... and if there's a reel of what you can't do in front of TJ Lavin, someone will join the list of those who quit and will feel his heat. There's also tension brewing inside the Tribunal courtroom where, THAT man will add to his list of memorable reality moments that we in America haven't seen. And the week's elimination will see teams battle in the dark.

So, a decent run for Zahida ends with her & Zach going down to defeat in last week's elimination, though she does keep in tact a fact of life for the British invasion, and to take a cue from NBC Premier League host Rebecca Lowe in British slang for guys there: not only has one of the UK chaps made it into a final in their first two appearances on American TV, each of the four British ladies who've come onto The Challenge each won their first elimination: Melissa, Kayleigh, Georgia and then Zahida.
And of course, Wes returns to the winners circle of an elimination on the regular show: fourteen in total going back to that 5-0 run on Fresh Meat I, and nineteen overall when we factor in the Champs vs. Pros/Stars spinoff. But obviously, the headliners of the night are Da'Vonne and Bear for what we saw on that grueling challenge where he quit much to TJ's displeasure and what we saw from him in the tribunal chamber, and her for having to complete that mini-final by herself and her commentary... but yet, allegiances to the Union Jack saved them in the end.
THE LOOK AHEAD
SUMMER PLANS IN ORDER...
It's with this in mind that I'm now starting to plan the always highly anticipated annual big trip out of town which I look forward to every year. And as has been the case the past two years, it will take place during the always packed summer vacation season... or as those with an English accent will say, a "holiday." For now, it's in its rough draft phase and there's plenty of time on hand to outline what I want to do to, which landmarks to visit, and everything else in between to make sure I have the best possible experience in whatever destination it could be.
As is tradition, that place which I will travel to remains a closely guarded secret that only I have the cards in hand. But sooner than later, you'll know what this will be about, and once things get ironed out, sometime between now and then at a soon at a time to be determined -- perhaps during a highly-anticipated event -- you'll know where it will all go down. But for the smallest of little hints: I'm X-tra excited. So, as they say, stay tuned... Just wait for it.
For the time being, next on our plate here at DCBLOG is the latest episode of Ex On The Beach, as the ex of the first returning star of the American iteration of this international franchise makes his way to the beach... don't miss it. We'll see you then, and enjoy tonight's fun.
