This is the week of the biggest bash MTV puts on each year, though this year's Video Music Awards will be different in any other way. One place that's been among the handful that has hosted the annual handing out of the famous moonmen statuettes is the city of Miami, and that is where we find the cast of A Double Shot at Love as they're with Pauly D. and Vinny to revisit the scene of the crime of two past overall seasons of Jersey Shore.

The bromance is in South Florida once again, and when we last left them and the crew they were getting used to temporary quarters for a couple days as the DJ is preparing to take the stage at the LIV nightclub at Fontainebleau Miami, one of the biggest nightclubs on earth. At the same time, he's also been having renewed feelings for Nikki, all while Vinny has been in his own element with Maria - but there seems to always be a tendency for those who have been on the Shore franchise to pop up yet again. And the Keto King had a run-in once again with the same bartender girl who was all over him two years ago on that Family Vacation... crazy, isn't it?

But now, the biggest gig yet for Pauly awaits right down on South Beach, coming after he broke Nikki's heart... or did he? We'll find out the answer to that, along with the group being given a rude awakening on the Double Shot Pulse Xtra just ahead.

So, Nikki is the latest to pull that famous prank on everyone as she gives Pauly a goodbye hug before his second gig of the night in Canada, Vinny gets in bed with Antonio, and four of the group get that reality check of going to work straight off of their trip to Miami... though that didn't turn out to be as big a disaster as it could've been. By the way, I always take my travel days off and try to get as much rest & prep time as I can before and after I go on my trips.

I'll be planning to do my live tweets of both tonight's Double Shot and Tuesday's Siesta Key finale this weekend, and of course #DCBLOG will have it covered afterwards. But this week, I'm taking a break from watching the shows as it airs on MTV to work on not only this site, but also a new series of #DCVegas vlogs from 2007 when I began going to the bright lights of Sin City on a regular basis. The first two videos premiered last weekend on my YouTube channel, and there's plenty more videos to come over the next week to be followed by my 2009 and 2010 trips when we enter September.
   For me, getting to post all of this content in both of these outlets has never come at a more opportune time than now here at the end of summer 2020. Tonight in addition to DSAL, the President takes to the mic, a huge hurricane is barreling down in Louisiana & Texas, the latest wave of protests in the aftermath of more police brutality in America, and the COVID pandemic is continuing - not to mention where I live there's the huge wildfires in California. We know that this has been quite the past week, and yes it's overwhelming.
