Just a few weeks back, we featured for the first time this year the unique talent that is Andres Rodriguez from Secaucus, New Jersey. If you don't know the story by now, we first featured him back in 2017 when he and his high school friends got to work out with those from The Challenge on the occasion of the show's 30th season, and where we were drawn to him for the fact that he was a YouTuber who had done several homemade versions of the fifth major pro sport.
Ever since, we have covered step of this Dre.Media journey -- one that has seen him produce, edit, host and sometimes compete on The Caucus Challenge, which has spanned twelve seasons. And Dre has also been the protagonist character on its Real World-like spinoff, The Life We Live, which has gone to seven different cities even during this pandemic. And in both cases, we have seen action, drama and plenty of juicy stuff among his now-larger group of friends than he had to begin with.
If you grew up during those glory days of going to school from being young kids in elementary time to being teenagers in high school, it's likely that you had a group of best friends that you hung out with more than any other. And it's no different with Andres: he has a group of people that he considers his "ride or die" -- and last year as things got back to normal for a change, the group that calls themselves the "Seven Mutual Friends" documented their summer 2021.
If you have gotten to watch the entire Dre.Media evolution on his YouTube channel -- which dates back to before DCBLOG first wrote on Andres and co. back in September 2017, so many people from the inner circle of school friends and family have appeared on Caucus or TLWL. But every season of -- if not, most of them -- have featured at least one of those from Dre's best friend clique, and they are Deja, Eezy, JT, Leo, Lauren and Shaina.
The summer of 2021 last year afforded many of us to finally be able to some of the old normal to a degree... and the Seven Mutual Friends got to celebrate several of their birthdays plus the annual New York City Pride events, take a trip up to Boston and a local beach, plus even getting some puppies and tattoos too. And it continued into the fall with them getting spooky on Halloween, engage in the annual autumntime tradition of Friendsgiving, and film Season 8 of TLWL that just premiered tonight.
Below, the entire season of "Seven Mutual Friends" which just wrapped up its season on YouTube, just before the season premiere of The Life We Live: Back to the Poconos -- and later this summer, we'll get to delve more into the drama there in that Pennsylvania resort town.
