Inside MTV Reality: The Siesta Key WRAP - Choices, A Boat Trip, & Ex On The Boat

There are particular reasons that we consider this winter to be Sunshine Season around here: the world converged on Miami and South Beach over the weekend for Super Bowl LIV as the Chiefs came back to beat the Niners and make a ginger-haired guy with two Challenge titles feel proud to be part of the Kingdom. And up the way there over in Central Florida, two of MTV's sunniest hits are sharing the spotlight this winter, including that beach down on the outskirts of Sarasota, Siesta Key.

It's safe to say the first month of Season 3 here has been quite a ride, and last week saw the consequences pay out of the biggest fight to ever hit Siesta when Juliette had to apologize to Chloe after the gossip queen reported her to the police in the wake of their housewarming fight, while we got to the heart of phone gate involving Amanda's missing phone being taken by Robby. One budding couple got to deepen their passion for one another when Jared and Kelsey went mudding and went up to a treehouse K-I-S-S-I-N-G, while Cara & Garrett began to grow apart. And Alex made his return to town in time for Brandon's party, all as he began to reconnect with Amanda... also sealed with a kiss as well.

After what has transpired here so far, what crazy can possibly happen next? Well... it can only get juicy, right? Choices, exes and a boat trip take over the Key as we bring you our WRAP of Week 4 from Siesta coming up after the break...

 THINGS TO KNOW
EPISODE 4

JULIETTE'S DILEMMA: As she has now graduated college and has a boyfriend that everyone knows in TV land, Juliette is already finding herself in a precarious spot at her new summer gig. She's working for startup boutique Blend Fashion House, and her boss is making it a priority for everyone who works for her to be available every day in the lead-up to its opening. As one who visits small neighborhoods regularly, you can tell that small businesses take being there daily more seriously than do big comps.
But at the same time, Jules is confronted with something just as prestigious: Robby is planning a trip over to Greece, which he gave to her for graduating his alma mater... and there, he's already got it planned out with plane tickets being bought and no exit plan in place to possibly postpone or nix it altogether. This was the same position Lauren found herself on The Hills years back when she had to pick between Jason and going to Paris, but instead stayed stateside.
Here, Juliette goes up to boss Courtney to ask for her time off, and it's there at lunch that she brings up the Chloe fight. She tells her what happened at the housewarming "...looks bad on the store, and we live in a small enough town that word has already traveled." Court reminds her of this being a job and to take it seriously as she's no longer at FSU, while rejecting that request... but she does go anyway, risking her role in the process. And he tells that he doesn't care if she decides to go at it alone to please him... it's that if she does, her friendships with Chloe and Amanda may not be the same.

TOGETHER AGAIN: It wasn't long ago that childhood friends Alex and Chloe found themselves at opposite ends after his relationship with Jules ruined their friendship. As they say, time heals things and as the ex has moved to Robby, the two mended things in the time since Season 2 ended to where she was again at the Kompo mansion in that premiere. And they are in a familiar spot to those who watched the show this series was inspired by.
Those who remember season 1 of Laguna Beach know that LC and Stephen got to work at the same surf shop. Here, Alex's dad Gary (a landowner known to locals as the namesake of an free accident hotline) paid $3 million out of his own wallet to purchase a renowned local dive bar, the Crescent Club, from its owner of 20 years. This popular pub dates its existence back to 1949 just before the town was incorporated, and features plenty of old-school decor from those good ole' days.
The daddy left Alex the keys to the place in running and managing the bar, which has had only four owners in its 70 year legacy. And given how we saw her work in a Tiki bar in that first season, he asks Chloe for some help in this new gig... she agrees on the condition that, if she is the boss on a given night, that Jules or Robby cannot be allowed entry in.

EX ON THE BOAT: After what happened at his birthday party and before that, Brandon & Amanda are once again an item. And you would think that Madisson would feel a bit jealous of what the bad girl is doing, and Amanda does indeed call her out in regards to her being branded someone who's not considered "dating material" when they share a drink at a local pub... but things are okay for now.
But the big drama in this part of town takes place by the water: #Bramanda, Jared and Kelsey board one boat at the lake, while Alex and his ship has on board two exes in Cara & Madisson and once again friend Chloe. For Jared, he decides to invite someone who was Amanda's ex for three years, JJ, to join in riding his own boat to go wakeboarding, one of his favorite activities... he kills it at his specialty while BG doesn't do well. Amanda tells her ex that she's doing what she can to enjoy her summer, all as there's now competition for her this time around.

CARA'S MELTDOWN: It's safe to say that things have been tough for Cara after she came back down from Jersey and her thing with Garrett evaporated. The king returned last week single and with girls in tow to BG's party, and he was informed by Chloe of Cara cheating on G-Baby up the coast... and Cara acknowledges to her friend Victoria of rekindled feelings.
But it's when they're on the same boat that Alex brings up what happened back home with her that saw her go off the deep end, in yelling at everyone... and having to head off into the sunset.
