MTV Reality WRAP: Siesta Key - The Season 4 Premiere

We are at the halfway point of the month of May, and we can finally say that things are just about back to normalcy after the tough past 14 months. And after spending our Wednesday nights with The Challenge along with the reunion of the first Real World cast, this week sees the start of a summer of new memories with old friends as MTV celebrates its 40th birthday: Jersey Shore returns when we enter the month of June, a new season of the second generation of Teen Mom, The Challenge All-Stars reaching its homestretch on Paramount+, and The Hills made its return this week after a year & a half's hiatus. And in the hour proceeding that, the drama at midweek kicks off with Siesta Key - a show inspired by the spirit of their Californian predecessors.

Season 3 last year saw things change considerably for the Floridian clique: a former producer becoming boyfriend and then fiancรฉ to Madisson, her ex Brandon's bombshell of him becoming a dad following in the footsteps of Alex, and the love triangle involving BG and Amanda. But as is always the case around here, everything in this town revolves back to Juliette: she found love two times after the breakup with the king - first with Bachelorette Robby and now with billionaire Sam. And she also started last summer rooming with Kelsey, but by the time we flew out of town she had moved out as the two began their plots to take over fashion.

Now, we have returned to paradise for the fifth straight year as we find the group has changed a bit from when we began Season 3 a year & a half ago. And summer 2021 is starting with a bunch of new things happening for the clique, but what happened last year will no doubt carry into what promises to be another sultry season from this suburb of Sarasota. We'll Wrap up the Premiere of Season 4 of Siesta Key just ahead... and welcome back to the beach.

THE PREMIERE ▪ "Let's Be Healthy and Get Drunk"

๐Ÿ‘ถ DADDY BG - On last year's virtual reunion, Brandon dropped a bomb we never expected -- but if you're a Challenge fan you are very much familiar with that scenario. In the time in between filming ending for Season 3 and the season finale airing months later, he had found that he had become the biological father to the baby of a girl he met while she was at one of his shows. It now sees his priorities change a bit in having to fit in time to co-parent new kiddo Quincy with that lady he conceived that one with, Delaney, and so far things are looking okay for the new Daddy BG... 


๐Ÿ™ CHLOE'S REINVENTION - During this journey, we have seen Chloe give more scoops on gossip in this clique than the investigative reporter at your local hometown paper. But after what went down last year, she is looking to reinvent herself and move beyond just getting into everyone's business. Along with adopting a new diet which has seen her lose the weight (and partially a result of what happened in Bimini), she has been busy remaking herself spiritually as well as launching her own venture that's very much different from what the others have here: Concept By Chloe.


๐ŸŽฅ SUMMER'S FIRST PARTY - It wouldn't be a week in Siesta Key without a party in this town, and we've been blessed with so many of them from galas and holidays to birthdays and pool parties. And Season 4's first (pandemic-safe) gathering sees Amanda bring the group together for a private screening of her first movie created for her studies at film school: a tribute to her dad who served in the Armed Forces during the Vietnam War well before she was born. Everyone watches the film along with Amanda and show their appreciation for her hard work on this poignant portrait.






๐Ÿคฏ THE FEUD CONTINUES... - When Season 3 began last year, we had something we never expected in Kelsey moving in with Juliette... but things were much different with them on finale night. Before they got to celebrate Amanda, Kels' friend Joe got to chat up with Juliette at her place about her swimwear line, and then brought up her boyfriend Max where Jules had feelings for the zookeeper before the model did. And after hearing it from him about that at screening night, this is what happens next... seems that there's no such thing as a drama-free party night in Siesta.

THE SEASON 4 PREMIERE

When it comes to us covering the weekly episodes of any MTV Reality show on here, it wouldn't be complete without featuring how the cast saw them on Twitter, and SocialPulse has done that for eight years here. Tomorrow: spring break is about to end for the Key's crazy neighbors who have spent that excursion outside the state of Florida... Floribama Shore wraps up its trip of the west coast with more drama and fun for their money, as well as reality setting in too. Also, The Challenge All-Stars reaches its semifinal week (if you can believe that) as their last regular daily challenge and elimination will set the field of the $500,000 final. And after all of that, we'll also delve into the latest Are You The One? controversy. For now, enjoy your Saturday and we'll see you then...
