Hello friends, we've made it to the second weekend of May... and that means it's time to think about what things to get for the most important women of your lives: your mothers. But for a moment, let's take a moment or two from getting what flowers or cards to get for them by reflecting on the season that was of MTV's The Challenge Double Agents.

The thirty-sixth regular season of the fifth major pro sport began back on December 9th as, once again, it was the only professional sport that took place at midweek outside of the NFL and before the start of the soon-to-end regular seasons in the NBA and NHL. This time, experienced veterans, new generation challengers and first-time rookies from even pro sport and the Olympics came to Iceland for a season that had many players withdraw outside of elimination, along with the usual array of twists and turns, plenty of betrayals (with a few from the latest villain to come from the Big Brother fam), and lots of high flying action that befits the theme of this winter & spring: a spy movie thriller inspired by the likes of James Bond.

When we were with you last, eight agents had more than proved themselves worthy of making the sixth final challenge to boast a $1 million prize pool, and it represented the last dance for Leroy after a decade on MTV before he devotes full time to being a barber with his girlfriend Kam. But his dream to make the last chapter of his Challenge career one of becoming a champ was thwarted by the superhuman efforts of Big Brother alum Amber B., who became the first from her show to win a Challenge final alongside C.T., who after waiting a decade for his first title is now a four-time titlist... though many fans scored a win of sorts when Fessy and Kaycee got eliminated at the halfway point.

All that remains from this long season -- but one that still entertained us a bit also -- is for them, fellow finalists Cory and Nany, and some of the cast to join up with Vernon Davis to debrief everything that went down in Iceland -- ruthless moves, snakes, love and more. But unlike what was the cast last year, those are able to are joining the former NFL wideout back in MTV's Times Square studio, with others joining in on the discussion from their homes via Zoom. We'll have all the social chatter on the first half of the last act of this Challenge season coming up... and welcome to the weekend.

As we begin, starting last year with Siesta Key we're handling episode coverage of the next MTV series to take over the Wednesday night timeslot by presenting the Pulse aspect of our posts through embedding their tweets into our episode recaps, rather than show them in unformatted timeline style. Given the light nature of the reunion activity on social media and with many of those who were on Double Agents now overseas for the next Challenge season, we'll be offering our reunion Pulse diaries tonight and tomorrow in this style. Here now, Twitter's reaction to part 1 of the Double Agents reunion...

We have quite a Mom's Day weekend ahead of us here: tomorrow, Part 2 of the Double Agents Reunion with plenty more for the cast to dish out from their time up in Iceland. Then, we've also got the 'Pulse of what is now the only Challenge in town as the All-Stars begin the home half of their season in Argentina, and the Floribama Shore road trip of the West rages on down in Lake Havasu, Arizona.

Then, you do not want to miss the tea we have serving for you after those three posts go up: we'll discuss here exclusively the possibility that MTV's takeover of other networks' reality shows may take one of its alumni to West Hollywood's most-popular restaurant. But when we return this Friday evening, we'll start counting down to Season 4 of Siesta Key as we'll let you meet a friend of Florida's power clique: the man who's made some headlines for some Jackass-like behavior. Stay with us, won't you?
