In one week from now, we will be kicking off what promises to be the biggest summer we've ever had in the lifetimes of you and most of us, with plenty on offer after more than a full year in lockdown. But if you're looking for a head start on Memorial Day Weekend, the summer is already in full swing down in Florida and in that beachy suburb outside of Tampa Bay known as Siesta Key, as Season 4 of the MTV show of the same name is well underway as the weather heats up.

Last week saw us return to paradise once again as we caught up with a group that's changed a bit from when we left them at the end of last summer: Brandon getting used to being a changed man in a way of being a father, while Chloe set off on a journey to change herself from spreading gossip to being a better person spiritually, and Amanda pursuing her ambitions of being a well-known filmmaker. And it was a screening party for the new castmate's first short film that Kelsey and Juliette met up and where a visit to the ladder's house by a friend of the former in Joe that set off things with them once again.

Week 2 last year saw those two co-host a housewarming that quite literally became a fight night... but how will the effects of that blowup radiate around town? We'll have that and a peek at a painting that will make you want to look at your stimulus check and think of what you can with that when we bring you our Siesta Key WRAP just ahead here. And welcome to the weekend...

  THINGS TO KNOW
EPISODE 2 ▪ "It’s a Nasty, Low Vibrational Thing to Say"

💌 APOLOGY ACCEPTED? - Going into this summer, a resolution Chloe made to herself was to not to be as meddling with everyone else's business as she's done throughout this series -- something that's caused frictions with some of those in this clique. But last week in between doing yoga and doing new YouTube content, the gossip queen had a slip-up in that category when she let out some info on Kelsey to Amanda and instantly she felt a bit of regret that she flunked her test. As a result, Chloe pens a letter to Kels to say that she is sorry, and when she reads that letter she tears it up and throws it into the pool.

👧 MEET JORDANA - As he gets comfortable in being perhaps the third time's the charm of Jules in her quest to find her king, Sam comes up with an idea that embodies the rich man he is: create a painting of the queen. They commission someone who's a friend to the group, Jordana, who specializes in doing paintings of just about everything and everyone from ET to athletes to 6ix9ine. In this instance, Sam asks her to make a painting of his girlfriend - which means that the subject has to sit still to make sure that Jordana makes the best possible portrait of her... we'll have the result of that shortly. But to make you think even more about this: Jules has no idea that Jordana once hooked up with the money man.

💔 BRANDON & CAMILLA AGAIN - This week's party is another week 2 housewarming involving Juliette, but in different circumstances than it was a year ago as Sam gets to christen his new pad. Compared to what it was by the sea, there's no sight of the former Bachelorette ex in sight not does it have the elaborateness of the old king, but there is no such thing as a drama-free party. And here, Brandon gets a chance to talk to his ex Camilla after all that's transpired since that blowup on New Year's Eve last year. And maybe, trying to rehash what went down in the past isn't appropriate at a gig like opening a new house to everyone for the first time.

☕ MORE KELS/JULES DRAMA - Also at Sam's party, Jules shows the maturity of sorts to reluctantly invite Kelsey over despite what went down in downtown last week. But perhaps, it might just come at a cost: while the model jogs around a local park, the queen tries to bring her aside there to try and loosen the tension, but to no avail as more fireworks go off with them. And it makes what went down at their housewarming a year ago feel so out there in the rear view mirror.

🖼️ PORTRAIT OF A PRINCESS - If you were with us for Season 3 of Ex On The Beach two years ago, we told you about the painting the Kaplan Twins did of Kourtney Kardashian's daughter Penelope for ex Scott Disick. Even with the drama surrounding Jordana and the ladies at Sam's party, the subject of her painting is still mindful of what went down with them before he discovered her, and Jules is hopeful that Jordana did a decent job of portraying her as accurately as she can. And when the time comes for the big $10,000 reveal in front of just a few friends, we'll let you be the judge below...

WEEK 2 IN PARADISE

As you check out the 'Pulse of Week 2 of this fourth Siesta Key summer, other things that dominated the buzz included Madisson tearing up about the continuing hate she's been getting for her relationship with Ish, and the music star of the moment right now Olivia Rodrigo having one of her songs featured this week as she marks the debut of her much-anticipated debut album coming the heels of the year's first big hit "Driver's License."

😎    😎    😎

Before we leave you for now on this Saturday night, this is a light week of sorts for us here as far as our episode coverage goes: this week sees the first half of The Challenge All-Stars' $500,000 final as a group of twelve worthy originals battle it out to see who will be victorious as the ultimate All-Star, along with Floribama Shore following in what the Double Agents got to do in hosting an in-person reunion at the end of the spring half of Season 4, also spread over two parts. As is our custom for when two-part episodes are featured, we'll be holding both of those over until next week as part of your Memorial Day weekend festivities.
In place of those, just ahead we'll have more on the latest controversy surrounding Are You The One? and the season that lost it all. Tomorrow when your weekend comes to a close, we'll turn our attention to going for love with faces familiar and fresh to MTV fans as MTV's first romantic reality offering in over a year as two Challengers and an AYTO trend-setter join other reality royalty for Match Me If You Can. Then, we'll introduce you to one of the big winners of last week's Movie & TV Awards: YouTuber turned MTV star Bretman Rock.

Meanwhile, this is a big event weekend: the NBA Playoffs are just starting after a stellar Play-In round, the Stanley Cup continues and the European football season is coming to a close. But tomorrow, the year's second golf major event will see Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka go head to head for possible history at the PGA Championship in South Carolina. Then, the summer of music kicks off with the Billboard Music Awards as music's best come together to celebrate the best of the past year. Be sure to join #DCNOW @DC408DxNow for live chatter and more from those ladder two events tomorrow on what should be an amazing Sunday. Enjoy those, and enjoy your weekend everyone...
